Earth, the once-proud home of Humanity, has been deemed uninhabitable after a decades-long war.
Forced to expand to the outer reaches of the Sol system, Humanity quickly discovered that their long-running issues of overpopulation and territorial control were not limited to a single world. Centuries of developmental stagnation later and on the cusp of extinction, the remnants of Humanity became desperate for resources and a new start.
Putting all of their efforts into developing interstellar travel, Humankind decided to take two separate paths: some would embark on a deep-space journey to an entirely new system, while the rest would stay behind and prepare for the former's inevitable return.
Taking charge of the mass exodus, the United Itinerant Forces of Humanity (UIFH) send a massive fleet of ships to the unknown destination of the Atania Galaxy. There, Humans are greeted with opposition by a wave of alien species midway through a war of their own, led by the aristocratic Chyl and militaristic Kunar.
Embroiled in intergalactic conflict, Humanity was able to become one of the most powerful species in Atania, establishing a governmental foothold and learning to harness the power of an incredible new ability: the Kanushin, a physical embodiment of spiritual energy that grants its users extraordinary powers.
