Chapter 1

As Taani was leaving to home after completing all her work, she was disturbed as Rey was ignoring her completely, she didn't know what went wrong, she was thinking about her decision of accepting his proposal wrong, as it's simply adding her stress rather than making her happy, the liking she had for him has started disappearing, all this relationship, his friends, her brother are affecting her for bad, she's mentally disturbed and exhausted. She always feels she doesn't belong here,there's no noone or nothing that she can call hers, she just want to run away and go her home, her peace, Dehradun. She sighed and moved but stopped after hearing her name, "Sharon, Taani is not the same as she was, she's changed, I don't feel she's the same girl I fell for, you saw right the way she behaves with gang, I tried to make her understand but she doesn't understand at all, with the constant fights between the gang and her, I'm tried, I just want to end all this, there's so things happening above that Taani,I feel I'm messed up badly" said rubbing his faces in irritation, Taani's eyes brimmed, the guy who claims to love her, he is talking about all things behind her back, "in that case Rey you breakup with her" said Sharon, "no Sharon I love her I can't leave her" said Rey making Taani shake her head, 'unbelievable love really', she thought, "then do a fake breakup, by that she will realise her fault and your value too" said Sharon, Rey thought for a sec, Taani was watching him curiously, "you're right Sharon I'll do that thank you Sharon" said with a smile hugging her, Taani tears flowed but she chuckled, "wait I'll call Swayam, we'll inform him too" Sharon said and called him. Taani stood hidden, she wanted to know what her brother will do, she knows he too will be on their side but there's a small hope that he maybe consider his sister, her pain for once, Swayam entered, "kya hua", Sharon explained him the situation, he remained quiet, Taani had her eyes on him, "you're right Sharon, I'm with you Rey don't worry" he said keeping his shoulder, Taani stumble but held herself before falling, kept hand on her mouth to stop the sob, not able to control herself she walked away fastly. She was walking on the street aimlessly, tears kept flowing, it started raining making her tears invisible, soon she reached a park sat on a bench, she didn't know how long she kept sitting there. She was completely drenched, but she cared less the pain in heart was so much that she couldn't see or feel anything else, minutes turned into hours, it was night, her phone rang bringing her to reality, she saw the phone, received it , the person talked but she remained quiet, the person worrying asked her, what's wrong, is she fine, Taani just said,"aap please yahan aajao, I need you", the person said,"I'm coming", the call ended. She saw many miss calls from her family, it's night she didn't reach home yet Swayam not for once call her to know her whereabouts, Taani sighed kept the phone back in the bag, walked to her place not her, Swayam's place. Swayam reached home after talking to Sharey, he reached home but didn't find her, asked Kaka, he informed she didn't come back, she never comes late, he thinks but decides to wait for a while more. Taani rang the doorbell, Kaka opened it, saw her drench in rain got worried, "betiya aap itni bheeg gayi hai, jaldi chal ke kapde badal lejiye" said, she nodded, Swayam who was sitting, stood up, "Taani tum kahan thi, itni late kaise or tum bheeg kaise gayi" asked moving forward, she remained quiet, "betiyan khana laga du" said kaka, "nahi mujhe bhuk nahi hai" said and walked to her room without sparing a glance to Swayam. He felt weird, but not giving much thought went to his room. Taani changed and laid on the bed, all the things happened in Rh hall kept roaming in her head, she opened her side drawer and took the tablet and within no time she was drowned in sleep. Next day she woke up with a headache, ignoring the pain, she freshen up got ready to go to college, she wasn't ready to face them but have to go, her eyes were puffed up, slightly red, her face dull, she looked weak. She went to college, the people in college stared her and started gossiping, she didn't want to affect herself moved straightly but a guy approached her, "Taani", she looked at him uncomfortable, she nodded hesitatedly, "Taani, you don't know me, I'm music band head, actually I have heard you singing few days back and I was really amazed by you're voice, I wanted to approach you but you seemed busy, can you join our band for the upcoming competition" said politely with a hopeful voice, if it was some other time, Taani would have happily agreed but now. Before she could say anything, someone closed her eyes from back, the gang too came there at the same time, Rey looked jealous and furious, others were confused except Swayam, "Rishu", Taani uttered, removing the hand and turned to get embraced in a hug, she reciprocated, the gang now was shocked, Rey fisted his hand. The guy broke the hug, "kya yaar Taani partner itna thanda reaction, mujhe laga mujhe dekhe you will jump into my arms" said dramatically, Taani smiled at him, Rey moved forward but before that Swayam came, "hi Rishabh kaise ho" said, Rishu shaked his hand with him, "I'm good, how are you", "fine, Taani ne bataya nahi tum aanewale ho" said Swayam looking at Taani who didn't for once glance at him making him confused. Rishabh saw Taani standing silent, he held her chin made her look at him, "tum meri Taani nahi ho" said, Rey wanted to jerk his hand, he felt anger on Taani too for allowing him to touch her and calling her mine, she gave him a confused look, "yeah, tumhari yeh aankhein they are dull, puffed up, they aren't twinkling the way they used to everytime, tumhara face bhi dull lag raha hai kuch hua hai kya" asked Taani cupping her face. Before she say anything, Rey having enough moved to remove his hand but before that someone said, "Taani" loudly, they all turned to look at a guy who's tall, handsome, he was dressed up in formals with a blazer, Taani as soon her eyes landed on him, ran and jumped on him. The gang looked like their eyes popped out, Rey was gritting his teeth, Swayam was surprised to find the guy, the boys attention went to Swayam who was normal, no sign of possesive, "Swayam tu theek hai na" asked Nil, "kyu kya hua mujhe" said Swayam confused, "nahi Taani is hugging someone and the other was talking to her so closely and you didn't react" said Vicky, others nodded, Swayam chuckled, "arrey because they are her brothers", "matlab tere or bhi do bhai hai" asked Bharat, "nahi yeh Taani ke badi maa ke bete hai her maternal cousins" said making others hmm, Rey took a relief but he was confused, 'why she never mention about them'. Taani was sobbing hiding her face in his neck, the guy caressed her hairs softly with one hand and other held her securely at her back, he felt her weight on himself, he broke the hug saw her unconscious, Rishu too moved towards them the minute he saw his brother, Rishu saw her unconscious went to them, the gang too moved forward, Swayam and Rey came forward, the guy tapped her cheek, "Tanu baccha, aankhe khol, dekh main Arjun bhaiya, tumne bolta aane ko or tu hi aise kar rahi hai utt beta" said cracking voice, Rishu saw around, the guy who approached Taani before, forward him a water bottle, Rishu took it, sprinkle water on her face, "Taani utt , yeh majak ka time nahi hai" said being scared, "bhai yeh aankhein kyu nahi khol rahi hai" said crying, "shhh Rishu kuch nahi hua hai, we'll take her hospital" said Arjun carried her and ran, Swayam and Rey too ran behind but they already drove away, the gang too came behind them, "Taani usse kuch hua toh nahi" said Rey worrying, Sharon kept hand on his shoulder, "calm down Rey nothing's gonna happen, let's go", Swayam was tensed visibly, they followed the car, the gang followed them. Reaching hospital, Rishu ran inside, got a stretcher, he started yelling for doctor, doctor came running and saw the famous business man Arjun Goenka carrying a girl and panicking. They ran towards him, and took her to the ward immediately, they started examining her, outside Rishu and Arjun were restless, Swayam, Rey and Sharon reached the hospital, saw them, Rey asked, "how's she", they looked at him then found the whole gang. Before they could react, doctor walked out, "doctor how's Taani" asked Arjun, "patient aapki kya lagti hai" asked Doctor, "behen hai meri", "Mr. Goenka now she's stable but I'll tell you honestly she's not fine" said Doctor making them panick, "doctor aap kya kehna chahte hai saaf saaf kahiye please" said Rishu, "was she under any trauma before", "haan when she lost her parents but doctor she recovered" said Rishu again, "dekhiye aksar trauma patients do recover but again if sometimes happens that gives the patient mental stress then again they slip into it, wahin same cheez Taani ke saath ho sakta hai, she is into lot of stress which is not good for her mental health and also it's affecting her physical health, she's starving since 24 hours and lack of sleep and dehydration lead her to the unconscious state" explained doctor. Arjun stumbled, Rishu held him, "Bhai" said loudly, "Mr. Goenka sambhal khudko she needs you now" said doctor feeling bad for the man, he is the strong personality everyone know and seen but now watching him falling weak is unpleasant. "Doctor please do anything but save her she's my baby" said Arjun requesting, Rishu eyes brew with tears, "Mr. Goenka you have to be strong for your sister, don't worry she'll be fine soon, just take care of diet and keep her happy, koshish kariye ki woh kisi bhi cheez ka stress na le and we will start with medication" said Doctor softly, Arjun nodded, "Thank you doctor" said Rishu, he patting his shoulder and went inside. Arjun was devastated, his baby is in so much pain, how can he not notice, he closed his eyes, few tears flow, Rishu made him sit, his eyes fell on Swayam, his mood turn into anger, he walked to him and punch him making him fall, "what the hell" shouted Sharon, others shouted "Swayam", Rey and others try to hold him, "yeh dur" yelled making them flinch, they withdraw their hands, Rishu held his collar and made him stand, "Teri himmat kaise hui, haan how dare you, kya kiya tune jiski wajah se meri behen hospital ke bed pe hai, haan bata", Sharon was furious, she moved forward to stop but Simi held her hand and nodded 'no' making her glare. "Rishabh I don't know, mujhe nahi pata" said Swayam with pain, Rishu push him, he stumbled, "jhoot, mujhe exactly nahi pata tune kya kiya but jis din sach pata lagega na, dance karna toh dur chalne layak bhi nahi chodunga yaad rakhna" throwing daggers, others stood shocked, "now get lost" yelled, they walked away immediately holding Swayam who's cheek had bruised, red and swollen. Rey wants to stay to look at Taani, he was shocked with doctor's words, she was suffering, he didn't know, the sight of her falling unconscious stirred him, Sharon looked at him standing, she was furious, she dragged him out. Rishu walked to Arjun kneeling, held his hand, "bhai kuch nahi hoga Tanu ko, hum sahi time pe aagaye hai, woh jaldi theek hojayegi bhai, we have to stay strong" said softly, Arjun nodded, tears escaped, Rishu wiped them.
