I ran home after Ilse said yes. I was so excited to finally try the spirit box, but I had no idea where it was! When I got home I looked around everywhere, but I couldn't find it anywhere! I decided to go somewhere I might regret. My mom told me under any circumstances, for me to not go into the basement, but like in every horror movie, that is where the spirits are! I checked everywhere but the box was nowhere to be found! Did my mom hide it very well or was it just hiding in plain sight? I looked around until I found what looked like a bookcase, and an adorably thick book. I decided to pick it up, "types of ghosts" said the book, in large, bold texts. I decided to be curious and flip through the book, but what found me inside left me pleased,
"The spirit box? But how is it in a book?" I asked myself, then I saw that there seemed like a cutout, did my mom cut out a book and put the spirit box inside? I flipped the book upside down and got the spirit box out. It was black, well, really dark grey. When I got out the box, I saw a little note inside, weird, what was it? I put the spirit box on the floor and opened the note, "Types of ghosts" it read, and there were 5 types of ghosts of what the note read, and I began reading,
"The Interactive Personality. The most common of all ghosts spotted is usually of a deceased person, someone you know, a family member or perhaps even a historical figure. These ghosts can be friendly, or not, but often show themselves to others in a variety of ways. They can become visible; they can speak or make noises, touch you or even emit an odour like perfume or any smell, to let you know they are there. Experts say that this type of ghost retains its former personality of when they were alive and can feel emotions. And often, they are visiting you to comfort you or let you know something important.
So if you happen to see a lost loved one, chances are they are there because they feel you want or need to see them" the first type of ghost ended. Weird, it felt like when Mia was a ghost herself, she was the interactive personality? I mean it fits the description perfectly! Except she could make certain people see her, and maybe she had telekinesis too, somehow. I decided to put the spirit box and the note back into the book and close it to bring it to Mia's house. After a few minutes, I got to the front door of Mia's house. The book was pretty heavy, somewhere around 3 or 4 kilograms, really heavy. I knocked on the door and I heard someone step near the door, and I saw Mia opening the door! Luckily!
"(English) Hey Olivia! What is this?" she asked looking down at the book,
"It's the spirit box, it's really heavy!" I pointed out, breathing heavily from what I had to carry while running for 15 minutes straight, I begged her to open the door fully, and when she did I rushed in and basically dropped dead on the floor for how tired I was.
"Olivia, is everything ok?" she asked as I was still on the floor,
"I had to carry a 4 kilogram book for 15 minutes while running, does that sound ok?" I asked as I kept laying on the floor. I heard someone go down the stairs,
"Was soll das für eine Aufregung? (what is this commotion?)" Ilse asked, I looked at Sonna for an explanation of what she just said, but she didn't say anything, "(English) Olivia? Is everything ok? What happened?" she asked, maybe that is what it means?
"I had to carry a 4 kilogram book with the spirit box inside, let's go to your rooms" I said getting up. As I was about to grab the spirit box, Mia stopped me,
"From what just happened, I will get this" she ran up and grabbed the box like it was nothing, did she have the same strength as before? I mean I could tell you she was strong, and I mean, it was 4 kilograms, maybe not even 4, next thing I know it's 10 or something. When we got up to Mia's and Ilse's room, Mia opened the book to find the spirit box,
"Oh my you were not lying" she said. Mia got out the box and the note,
"Let's read that later" Ilse recommended. We opened the spirit box to find what seemed like a recorder or something which I realised was called an EMF, and another recorder, no, a recorder, literally. Mia got the EMF and Ilse decided to get the recorder, and I got the note.
"It says here that I need to turn it on. If the EMF is 1, there is little to no ghost activity, EMF 2 is little to some activity. EMF 3 is some to moderate activity, EMF 4 is moderate to high activity, and EMF 5 is pretty reasonable, high to very high activity" Mia explained, I saw Ilse looking around the recorder and finding what seemed like a button, and hard static rang, it was pretty loud static, but not as loud as I thought.
"Do I just?" Mia asked as they pressed something, and the thing started beeping like crazy, showing it was EMF 5, there was a ghost in the room. Suddenly the lights turned off and I got pretty scared but Ilse looked pretty unbothered. Ilse moved the thing to more of the centre of our little triangle, which was the way we were sitting, and she began,
"If there is a ghost in here, make yourself noticeable" Ilse commanded For a few moment there was nothing, but then a voice, what seemed like a glitched voice spoke,
"Hello, sister Ilse" the voice said, Ilse looked around confused as the static continued,
"Who are you?" I asked, and a few seconds later, the voice responded,
"Emilia" was all that the voice said. I saw Ilse quickly getting away from the box in shock, it looked like Mia was just as confused as I am, it looked like Ilse was about to burst into tears,
"E-Emilia? How did you die? Who did this to you?" Ilse pleaded
"J-" and then the voice cut off, I saw Ilse letting out a few tears, Mia looked at the box confused,
"Emilia? Emilia!" Mia called, no response, what happened?
"Emilia? Emilia answer please!" Ilse yelled, suddenly the EMT stopped beeping and it quickly went to EMT 1.
"What happened?" Mia asked,
"Well nothing could have happened with the box itself, the EMT stopped beeping. Did she leave?" I explained, then I saw Mia looking at Ilse, seeing what happened,
"Who was that Ilse?" Mia asked, and Ilse calmed down a little.
"When we were little, we used to play with her all of the time, but when we were 9, she suddenly disappeared. She disappeared because a killer or a kidnapper, or something took her" she stopped as she wiped a tear off her face, "And since you are my second sister, I want to be the most protective I can be with you too" she said looking at Mia.
