[006] the beginning of the end

                                  Suki has been around death once before. She had been right there when her mom had killed herself, forever haunted by the memory. Death was something hard to forget, it sticks to your mind like dirt does to the skin. And even when you scrubbed it away, it'll always be there.

                                  But now Suki would see death for the second time. She could smell it in the air, thick and heavy and metallic. Suki's first concern was making sure that Courtney was okay. So when Suki turned to look at the blonde, she's horrified to find that Courtney hadn't ended up unscathed at all. She was struggling to take out a branch that was stabbing her side.

                                  "Holy fuck!" Suki immediately shouted.

                                  "Help me," Courtney managed to get out.

                                  Suki was worried about Courtney bleeding out. But she also knew that the branch couldn't stay in Courtney's side forever. Suki grabs onto the branch, prepared to pull it out of her. But Courtney grabs her hand suddenly, causing Suki to look at her.

                                  "Don't fucking kill me," Courtney replied.

                                  "I'll try my hardest," Suki responds in a shaky voice.
