Back nine centuries! Enjoy!

(Douxie's POV)

I woke up with a groan, feeling every inch of my body throbbing in pain. I hadn't even realized where I was, and that I was lying in cold, wet grass as I awoke. Of course I couldn't have known back then, due to having passed out out of nowhere.

I slowly opened my eyes, blinking a few good moments to regain some sort of sight. I groaned again, gripping my hair as I slowly try to sit up. Even though I was in pain everywhere, I sat up, not having any clue as to where I am.

I looked down, seeing my legs covered in blood, but a white cloth wrapped around it, only visible due to the large slit in my trousers. "Bloody hell..." I grumbled, placing my hand against my face as I as I shake it a bit, trying to awake myself and my senses.

Then it all came rushing back. Arthur, Gunmar, Killahead battle... Y/N!! Oh, God, Y/N! Where is she?! I have to find her! "Y/n.." I mumbled in realization, forcing myself up on my feet as I stumbled to stand up. Where the bloody hell even am I? I looked around as I found balance on my feet, and saw that I was somewhere in the middle of the woods.... without my tunic for some reason. It was cold, and I shivered a bit as I rubbed my arms up and down. Where the-? How did I even get here? "You're awake, good."

I shot around, gasping in shock as I saw him in front of me, holding a sudden hand to my rib cage as I saw a white bandage wrapped around it tightly. "Master Merlin." I said, seeing the usual stern faced man I'd become used to walk up to me with an unusual soft smile, and thankful face.

He came forward, placing a hand on my shoulder. "How are you feeling?" He asks, walking as he moved me along to a fire, making me wonder why I hadn't just been placed there. "Uh, sore.. everywhere- master, what is going on? What are we doing here?! And where is Y/N? Why aren't we in Camelot?" I asked, too many questions plaguing my mind as he sat me down on an old log in front of the fire, and wrapped a blanket around my shoulders. Again, why hadn't he just given me that when I woke up? He sighed, a heavy face befalling his. Naturally, at seeing his worried and sad face, I was worried, since Merlin wasn't the type to be sad nor worried unless it were bad.

I only know now the real reason why he was sad, and it was due to having to lie to me about one of the most precious things in my life.

He poured some tea into a wooden mug, sighing again as he put the kettle down besides the fire once more. He walked towards me again, and gave me the mug, making me shiver in delight at feeling the warmth of it. He sat down beside me, and said. "Boy... there no longer is a 'Camelot' to return to.."

I stopped the mug at my lips, and turned to face him. "What do you mean?" I ask, hoping I hadn't heard him correctly. He sat there, and looked at me, probably hoping from his expression that I could just read him magically.

He looked down, before he put another hand on my shoulder, and said. "Camelot fell, Hisirdoux. Gunmar won the war, and Camelot no longer exists."

I dropped the mug of tea I had been holding, and my jaw dropped. No, no, it couldn't be! Gunmar couldn't have won! No! That's not how it's supposed to be! Fear and panic filled my bones, and I stared at him with panic all over my face. Oh, God.... my home, my kingdom, my....

My face paled over, and I stared at him with a stone cold expression of all seriousness as I stared at him. "Y/N... where is she?" Merlin only stared at me with a growing sorrow, and I knew deep down then at what that meant. I wouldn't believe it. No, they had to be wrong. He, had to be wrong! But another part of me knew it was true, because I knew for a lifetime fact that Merlin would never joke about something so sick.
