"Things will work out, right?"- Melody Davis

Mel 🤍

Melody was a terrible person, she had to be. She looked at the schoolwork in front of her. 'Luca Romano' is written on the top left of the paper. She had just finished her homework and realized how dumb her idea was.

She took a shower and changed into a long-sleeved black compression shirt and black flare tights. She layered with a brown crewneck and simple silver jewelry. She put her collarbone-length passion twists into a low bun, grabbed her puffer coat, and left the house.

The frosty air prickled the brown-skinned girl's face as she got off the bus. Finally, she made it to the house she had been thinking about all week. After ringing the doorbell another one of Luca's clones appeared. This time, it was a woman. Long hair and feminine features were the only things that set her apart from Luca. She had the dark hair, blue eyes, and intimidating resting face. Melody felt her face heat up as she thought about these things.

"Hello?" the lady asked slightly amused.

"Oh uh, sorry. I go to school with Luca, I have um some work that he missed..." She lifted the folder.

"Is your name Melody?"

"Yeah," she whispered. What had Luca said about her? The woman's eyes lit up.

"Come in." she opened the door, letting Melody in "I'm Alessandra, Luca's older sister. Do you mind if I hug you?" she smiled

"Nice to meet you." Melody smiled back meeting Alessandra halfway for a hug. She sighed in relief, realizing that she probably looked more intimidating than she actually was.

"Are you in college?" Melody asked. Luca's sister seemed to be in her early twenties, probably twenty-one

"I graduated two years ago. I'll be turning twenty-four in April."

Melody's eyebrows raised a little when she answered

"Luca's in the shower, I think. I'll take you to his room, sweetheart"

Melody held the coat in her arms as she sat on the edge of the dark-haired boy's bed. She looked around the room, taking in the slight differences from when she was here a week ago. She was reading over the papers from the folder when she heard a door open.

"Aless, who was tha-" Luca shouted before his eyes snapped to the figure on his bed. Melody's eyes widened when she realized that he only had on a towel. She should've waited in the bathroom.

"Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry-" she started, covering her eyes with her hands

"It's okay Shortcake, just let me put on some clothes." she nodded quietly

"Okay, I'm done," she heard dangerously close after a couple of minutes.

She opened her eyes to see a shirtless Luca tightening the waist of his sweatpants.

"That's not done," she whispered. Luca sat down next to her putting a hoodie over his damp figure, letting out a small laugh.

"So... what do you need?" he asked, leaning back on his bed

"Uhm, I have missing work for you." Melody confessed

"I thought you gave that to Leon."

"I forgot one." she lied

"Oh, thanks," he responded, receiving a head nod in response.

For some reason Melody's confidence was shot, so she stood up to leave.
