—A Few Days Later, 1:26pm—
——It had been a few days of nothing but boredom. No one had gone anywhere or done anything besides Kurogiri, who periodically went out to get necessities.
Puppet stood on the roof of the hideout, basking in the mid-day sun. Peacefully. Quietly. Until a certain winged man ventured up onto the roof as well.
"What'cha doin' up here?" Hawks asked.
Puppet inwardly sighed at the man's intrusion.
"Fresh air," she replied simply. She looked back at him. "What is it with you always following me onto a roof?"
"Dunno. Maybe it reminds me of when we first met."
"That's cheesy."
He shrugged. "Might be true though."
He looked up to the sky, his visor enough to shield his eyes from the rays of light. He felt the warmth of the sun, the faint breeze. "Nice day..."
"Hence why I'm out here."
"...nice enough of a day to maybe get out of this cage."
"We're not supposed to leave," she responded curtly.
He walked up so that he stood beside her. He crossed arms and smugly raised a brow. "Since when were you a stickler for the rules?"
She scoffed, biting back a laugh as she rolled her eyes and shook her head.
He nudged her with his arm. "It didn't seem to bother you the other day."
"That was different," she said pointedly. "That was planned."
"Well, we can call this 'planning as we go'. It can still count."
She placed her hands on her hips and looked at him. "You're gonna do all that you can to try and convince me, aren't you?"
"Yep," he admitted cheerfully.
"Alright, fine," she said. "Let's say I agree. Where would we go? 'Cause we can't go anywhere populated."
He waved his hand through the air in small circles as he said, "A small... grassy clearing in a forest. Not an area I think anyone goes to."
"Near here?"
"Fairly."
"Just the two of us?"
"Yup."
She sighed heavily. "Alright, sure. I accept, so long as we aren't out too long."
"No worries!" he said, turning and starting to walk towards the door that he'd come from. He waved a hand at her. "Well, let's go. Time waits for no one."
"Aren't we going to fly?" she questioned, watching him walk away. It wasn't her preferred method of travel, but she'd assumed that she'd relinquished herself to that fate when she had agreed to the excursion.
He turned back around and looked at her. "You good with that?"
He was letting it be her choice. He still felt like he might be on thin ice with her, so he wasn't going to fly if she wasn't okay with it.
"I mean, wouldn't it be safer?"
"Well, yes." He walked back over to her. "It's faster and safer."
"Safer is the better option, then," she asserted. "It'll keep Shigaraki off our backs if nothing else."
"Alrighty then." He held his hand out to her.
She placed her hand in his and he pulled her into a hug-like hold; his arms wrapped around her securely.
She hooked her arms around his neck and held on as he opened his wings and lifted them both into the air, flying off to their destination.
