When Hawks and Puppet were about halfway back to the hideout, Hawks' wings started to get a tingling sensation. He instinctively snapped into focus and started to fly at a faster speed, scanning over the ground below with his eyes.

The clouds that had been using as cover to fly had somewhat dissipated, so if someone was looking into the sky, they might catch a glimpse of them. Though, they should still be far enough up that who they were wouldn't be recognizable.

Puppet picked up on the increased pace. She looked up at him, seeing that his facial expression was serious.

"Is something wrong?" she questioned.

"I don't know," he replied truthfully. "My wings are tingling, and that usually means there's something dangerous nearby. I'm hoping it's nothing we need to worry about."

They kept flying, but it was more eerie and quiet, with the only sounds being the flap of Hawks' wings and the wind whooshing by. Puppet could tell that he was listening, looking around for anything suspicious.

Without warning, Hawks suddenly wrapped his arms securely around Puppet's figure, holding her head against his chest. His wings quickly folded around her, serving as protection. With his wings tucked, they lost some altitude.

"Hold on!" he warned.

Explosions sounded and the air around them shook. Once the explosions calmed after a few seconds, Puppet felt a huge gust of heat even through the feathered protection around her. Hawks opened his wings, dodging to the side and quickly flying backwards to a safer distance.

Puppet looked up, and her stomach lurched. Hovering in the air using flames from his feet, several yards away from her and Hawks, was Endeavor.

She swallowed and a bead of sweat rolled down the side of her face. What's he doing here?

Hawks dodged back as Endeavor fired off more flames at them. He kept flying through the air to avoid the blasts, but having to hold onto another person was slowing him down.

His grip on Puppet inevitably faltered as more flames were continuously fired at them. She slipped from his arms, falling through the air to the ground that was a hundred feet below.

As soon as she fell, Hawks sent feathers after her. They zipped towards her and took a hold of her clothing. They slowed her fall a just enough for her to be able to pivot herself mid-air so that she would land on her feet. Her boots absorbed the force from the hard impact with the ground.

She had landed in the middle of a large deserted flat of land made up of dirt and dust. There was no sign of natural flora or fauna anywhere — not even grass.

The only sign of life were the multiple figures running towards Puppet. She readied herself, knowing that the people were no-doubt assisting Endeavor.

She flicked a handful of razor sharp strings at them. A big gust of wind prevented the strings from reaching them.

Her brow creased. That has to be a quirk it was too timely.

"Now!" a feminine voice shouted.

A bigger gust of wind hit Puppet directly, pushing her back. She dug her boots into the earth and got low to the ground, preventing herself from being too affected.

The wind kicked up a lot of loose dust that was sitting on the ground. The layers of thick dust clouded the whole area over, impairing the vision of all those around. Even the sunlight was blocked off and those on the ground couldn't see into the skies anymore.

Puppet summoned multiple souls and she instructed them to run through the dust. She needed them to locate and take out whoever was after her.
