"We aren't your parents" my mam says calmly. My eyes widen and I say "you what? So who are?"

My heart drops and I end up sitting down. "I've been living with fucking strangers for the last 18 years of my life"
"No, only 15 years" the man who I call my dad says.
"So what about the other 3 years?" I ask
"You lived with your biological parents" Stephanie says
"Where are they now?" I ask
"They died" she says and starts to cry. "And we promised we would look after you" she adds
"What are their names?" I ask
"Your dad was called David Walker and your mum was Logan Walker" Ryan says
"So who are you? And how come I have the same last name" I ask
"This is where it gets confusing" Ryan says and pulls a chair out.
"Bailey and Quinn are our children" he says. "We were in that car with your parents when it broke down. Your dad was determined he could get it fixed again. Me and Stephanie saw the truck coming but your parents weren't listening until it was too late. We managed to get out the car since we were in the back. Your mums last words were 'look after destiny for me'. You were at your grandmas house. You were safe. Your name is technically destiny. But Stephanie is your mums sister. So we decided to change your first name to Logan and then your middle names are destiny and hope. Because your mum had a dream. She would have two girls called destiny and hope" Ryan explains
"So your my auntie and uncle?" I ask a lot quieter after crying.
They nod their heads.

I stand up and say "so how come you moved from Canada?"
"The road it happened on was this one" Ryan says pointing to the road outside our house. "The blood stained the ground we couldn't drive over it" my auntie says.

I go outside, Lottie, Jessie and Trinity follow me. I go to the road, there were little marks on it. I run my hand over it. And then sit down next to it. They sit next to me and I lean on trinity, she pulls me into a hug and I cry. Jessie rubs my back and Lottie also hugs me. I just keep crying.

For the rest of the week I barely open my mouth. Don't laugh, or smile just straight face.
