So, this chapter does not affect the plot at all and is just a fun side chapter I felt like writing. Nothing that happens here will be taken to the main story!
Today has an eerie vibe.
But I have no idea why.
It's the end of October and so what?
It's soon November and then December and the year is over.
What is so special about all of this?
I walk into the building of the Agency, throwing open the door of our office space to be met with no one.
I'm very confused, as you can probably tell.
But then I hear voices and that leads me to think that they're having a meeting.
And without me.
How dare they?
I march up to the room and open the door roughly.
"Oh! Y/n-chan! How nice of you to join us!" Dazai happily exclaims, making me roll my eyes.
"What's going on? This is a sudden meeting, no?" I look at the people in the room one by one.
"Well, yes, that is true, but this is only for today," Kunikida says, being the only person standing.
"Then what is this about?" I raise my eyebrow in confusion.
"It's Halloween! Isn't it exciting!?" Dazai exclaims, sounding really happy.
"Halloween? Already?" my confusion is huge.
"When else if not at the 31st of October? It has always been like that!" Dazai continues.
"You think I would remember exactly when it's Halloween when I cannot remember my prior profession?" I scoff, annoyance is visible on my face.
"That sounds more like common knowledge, no?" the man then proceeds to ask.
"You wanna know what else is common knowledge? That you're annoying as hell," I glare at him.
"Oh, Y/n-chan! You're hurting my feelings," Dazai dramatically places his hand over his heart.
"Yeah, as if you had any in the first place," I sigh, rolling my eyes.
He doesn't say anything back.
There is this awkward silence, broken by Kunikida.
"Have the two of you finally finished the bickering?" his loud voice rings through the room.
"I'm done. I guess you could say the same to him," I shrug, sitting down across from Dazai.
I kinda feel bad.
I think I actually hurt his feelings.
"So, as we were talking, before L/n-san so rudely interrupted us, we have to start decorating," the blond coughs his throat clean.
"For Halloween?" I raise my brow.
Why should the Agency do something stupid like those children?
"Of course. We have done it every year. So this time, it's no different," Kunikida nudges his glasses higher on his nose.
"Okay then. I just thought... Nevermind," I give up.
I don't think it's the most smart thing to say that I think Halloween is stupid.
"So, let's make three teams. One is going to decorate the inside of the whole house, the second one gets the outside and the third team goes shopping for candies. We have every year many children showing up here," he orders around.
