Chapter 15

Almost 2 weeks later

Madyson POV

"No no no no no no no no no no no no no no" I mumbled to myself, cash sprawled all around me. They needed the money today! How the fuck was I supposed to earn 2k by tomorrow! There was no way I was 2k short, I worked 3 jobs! And still went to all my shirts at the hospital.

"Maybe they will take the 8k and I can get the rest later?" I said a loud quickly going to get my phone. "I know, I know you said today but I'm 2k short, please can I give you what I have currently and I'll pay the rest later" I said into my phone as soon as it was answered.

"little bitch, couldn't even get some money..... stupid little boy of yours is going to pay the price now, so unfortunate, he seemed to have a real talent in that racing thing." They calmly said into the phone, the relaxation in their voice was in fact NOT calming.

"Please, wait-" I shouted but before I could finish they had already hung up. "Fuck me!" I screamed throwing my phone onto the couch. I need to find Charles, but... he is racing in France! There was no way I could get to him if he was in the paddock, but that meant he was probably safe...

Nope not risking it, I could.... I don't actually have any other choice.

"Pascale, I really need to talk to Charles.... Can you please help me?" I said as soon as she opened the door, that was rude, I probably should have asked how she was but to be honest. I don't have time for that.

"Madyson, Darling!" She said embracing my very still body, she look like she might ask me how I was but the messy bun my hair was in and the size of the bags under my eyes... she got her answer, I was not good.

"He's at Paul Ricard, you know? Quali just finished. Um, I can call him and she if he answers but...." She said but I rudely cut her off. "It's urgent, I need to speak to him in person. Is their any way I can get into the paddock like today?" I asked not caring how creepy I sounded.

"I-" she started to say something before deciding rather not. "Okay, come" she said grabbing something inside the house  before locking the door and then walking towards her garage. Quickly she got in her car and reversed it, stopping just where I was standing on the side of the road.

"Come, let go" she shouted from inside the car. I don't know if it was how broken and scared I look or what is was that made her do this for me but I am not going to question it.

"Thank you so much " I said a soon as got in the passenger seat and clipped my seatbelt. "Darling, I don't know why you did that to cause happened between you two. but I do know I have never seen Charles as happy as he was with you... I trust that you did it for the right reason, but please don't hurt him more. I can see what you need to tell him is very important so but please don't play with him. What you said, it really broke him" she said softly, she didn't sound mad just protective of her son.

That hurt, I knew I hurt him, but not that bad to the point his mother could see how hurt he was. "Pascale, I swear I never wanted to hurt him" I said trying to fight back my own tears. "I know you didn't, I also don't believe it is true what you told him. That you never loved him." she said raising her eyebrows.

"It was the only way, I was protecting him. Well I thought I was but it didn't work and now he's in danger anyway" I mumbled a couple tears escaping my eyes. Screw it, she's going to find out everything anyway, better from me. I quickly sniffed and whipped the tears from my eyes before I continued.

"...... that why I did it, because I love him." I finished explaining everything to her. I was no longer trying to hide my tears, it was pointless. "It will be okay love, and just so you know. I still see you as my honorary daughter" she said placing a kiss on my forehead, before stepping out the car.

Shit I didn't even notice we had arrived at the paddock entrance. she quickly passed me a paddock pass as we walked through the little spiny gate. "Let's split up, I'll look for him and if I find him, I'll tell him to try find you." She said before walking off in a random direction.

I wandered up and down the paddock for what felt like forever until I spotted a bright red figure. He was talking to someone outside the McLaren moto home. I was about to run to him when someone else caught my eye, hiding in between the moto homes. "Shit" I said to myself and without thinking I immediately ran to him.

Not Charles, but my dad.

A soon as i slipped into the ally, I immediately tried to grab the gun out his hand but apparently being someone's daughter doesn't mean shit. Suddenly the world slowed slightly, my ears started ringing and vision blurry. Using all my strength I  punched him in the face before collapsing onto the floor.

I could hear people all around me rushing  and stepping over me, I think they were taking my dad away, not that I could tell that was going on.

"Mon cœur, please stay with me" the voice i immediately recognised as I felt my body being picked up and carried somewhere. Everything was vague I felt like I was barley holding on.

"Cha" I whispered, hoping he could hear me. "Yes, love I'm here" I hear him say as I tried my hardest to fight the urge to sleep.
"I lied... I love you, I always have and will" I whispered. Before I could hear him reply everything just when black.
