In the small town of Trist, a 17 year old boy named Abinus was in his room, packing his backpack for his time at Beacon. He'd gotten accepted into the school after taking the entrance exam and passing with flying colors.
His hood on his cloak was down, letting his black eyes and hair be seen. He glanced over at his Scroll to check the time. It was almost time for him to leave.
As he was packing the last of his things, his father called to him from downstairs. "Abinus, it's almost time to go!" "I know, give me a minute!" Abinus called back.
He packed what still needed to be packed and grabbed his Scroll before heading down the stairs into his father's blacksmith shop. His father was waiting for him at the foot of the stairs with his sword.
"I fixed the chips and sharpened it up." he said, handing Abinus' sword to him. Abinus looked at the blade before sliding it into its sheath on his belt.
"Thanks, Dad." he said. "It's really no issue. I want you to be ready for Beacon. Remember, your mother and I will always be proud of you, and your mother is always watching down on you from the stars." his father said.
"I will." Abinus said, putting his hood back up over his head and slinging his bag over his shoulder. "I'll see you later." Abinus opened the front door and went out into town.
He started on his way on the road out of town so he could catch an airship to Beacon. He stopped and looked back at the small town, but only for a moment. He turned back to the road and continued away from Trist.

Abinus walked onto the airship that was going to be headed for Beacon. He found a place to sit and watched as the airship took to the skies. His attention turned to a news feed with a mugshot of an orange-haired man.
"The robbery was led by nefarious criminal Roman Torchwick, who continues to evade authorities. If you have any information on his whereabouts, please contact the Vale Police Department. Back to you, Lisa." a woman said.
The image changed from the mugshot to a woman with lavender hair and a photo of a group of Faunus with signs that said 'WE ARE NOT ANIMALS!'.
"Thank you, Cyril. In other news, this Saturday's Faunus Civil Rights protest turned dark when members of the White Fang disrupted the ceremony. The once peaceful organization has now disrupted..." the news feed was replaced with a hologram of a formal looking blonde woman.
"Hello, and welcome to Beacon." she said. "My name is Glynda Goodwitch. You are among a privileged few who have received the honor of being selected to attend this prestigious academy. Our world is experiencing an incredible time of peace, and as future Huntsmen and Huntresses, it is your duty to uphold it. You have demonstrated the courage needed for such a task, and now it is our turn to provide you with the knowledge and the training to protect our world."
The hologram disappeared and Abinus looked back out the window behind him. There was a town beneath them and Abinus looked out into the distance. He could just barely make out a small town.
He could tell it was Trist, even from high in the air. He looked away from the window and saw a boy with blonde hair running toward the back of the ship, a hand over his mouth.
Guess the view isn't for everybody. Abinus thought as he watched the boy run further away. Eventually, Beacon Academy came into view and Abinus stood up, grabbing his bag.
The ship docked, and everyone ushered off. Abinus looked around the school grounds. The courtyard was beautiful, but there wasn't time for sightseeing. Abinus went with the flow of students, ending up in a giant auditorium.
