Oscar and Ruby were hard at training in hand to hand combat while Jaune, Nora, Ren and Abinus looked on. "Man, Oz wasn't kidding." Jaune said. "Oscar's picking up on this stuff fast."

Oscar hit Ruby right in the face, making her recoil. She was visibly angry. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!" Oscar tried to apologize. Ruby hit Oscar back and he landed a few feet away as Jaune and Nora winced at the sight.

"Ha! Yes! I did it!" Ruby cheered. Her happiness was replaced with concern. "Oscar?" she asked as she looked back. Oscar was quiet for a moment before asking Ozpin, "Why didn't you tell me?"

Oscar groaned and got to his feet. His eyes flashed yellow, showing Ozpin was now in control. "Not bad, Miss Rose. But Oscar doesn't have the years of training that you do. Or I do." he said.

His body shimmered green as he activated his Aura and Jaune, Nora and Abinus realized what Ruby was in for. Ozpin determinedly approached Ruby.

"Oh, ha well, maybe we should uh... take a break." Ruby said nervously. Ozpin attacked Ruby with a few punches aimed at her head, forcing her on the defensive.

Ozpin landed a blow her her face, knocking her back. He closed the distance with a leap and a kick to her face. Ruby leaped back at Ozpin to throw a left cross, only for Ozpin to duck and counter with a headbutt from below, knocking her to the ground.

"Ouch." Nora said. "The next time you want to throw a left cross, remember to push off with the appropriate foot. And as always, do be aware of any openings." Ozpin said.

"Gooooot it." Ruby said weakly. Ozpin gave control back to Oscar and the boy fell to the ground, panting. "Oh! Hey. Are you okay?" Ruby asked. "How is this so exhausting?" Oscar asked.

"Your body isn't used to this kind of training." Ren piped up. "Not to mention generating a defensive Aura on your own. It take intense concentration at first, but in time it will become second nature, allowing you to deflect attacks and gradually heal your wounds. After that, you can begin focusing on your Semblance, whatever that may be."

"Semblance?" Oscar said. "You know! Like your very own superpower!" Nora said. "Everybody's got one. It's just a matter of finding it and mastering it. Ruby moves super fast, Abinus can become really strong, although it isn't on command, electricity makes me strong, Ren can mask emotions, and Jaune... can, uh, um. Hmm."

"I can't do anyth-" Jaune got cut off by Ruby. "Jaune's like you!" she exclaimed. She took Oscar by the hand and led him over to Jaune.

"He hasn't found his Semblance yet, but we all know he will. And you will, too. We all just have to try and help each other get stronger." "Cool." Oscar said.

"A common philosophy is that a warrior's Semblance is a part of who they are. Some say your personality and character can define your Semblance while some claim that it's the other way around. Of course, there are still many who don't see a connection at all." Ren said.

"It's hard to know when you know sometimes." Nora said. "Ren's Semblance was unlocked from intense stress." "Mine popped up after a tragedy." Abinus said. "And mine kicked in during training one day." Ruby added.

"And what about you?" Oscar asked Nora. "Oh. Struck by lightning. Didn't die. Craaaaazy Thursday." Nora said. "I just don't understand what's wrong with me. I train. I meditate." Jaune said.

Oscar's eyes gave off a glow again, Ozpin taking over once more. "Don't worry, Mr. Arc. Your journey is far from over. And the same might be said for all of you. Unlocking your Semblance isn't the end. It can still grow and evolve. Providing you're willing to put in the work, who knows what could happen." he said.

"Then let's get back to it." Ruby said. Next up was Abinus and Oscar with their weapons. Both of them held their weapons in front of themselves with determination.

"Good luck to both of you!" Ruby call from the sidelines. Abinus was the first to swing, trying to come down on Oscar. He barely moved out of the way in time and tried to sweep Abinus' legs, but the boy in black jumped over it.

Oscar tried to hit him a few more times, but Abinus either dodged the swings or blocked them with his sword. He eventually connected with Abinus' side, but he quickly recovered.

He elbowed Oscar in the chest, making him stumble back. He came in at Oscar's knees from behind with the flat side of his sword, knocking him to the ground. Oscar was about to stand up when he was stopped by Abinus' sword pointed at his chest.

Abinus lowered his sword after a moment, planting the tip into the ground as he extended his hand to help Oscar up. Oscar took his and Abinus hoisted him to his feet.

"It's still weird to think that I'm fighting someone who's supposed to be a monster." Oscar said, referring to Abinus' black eyes. "You'll get used to it." Abinus said.
