Battle of Beacon

The Nevermore that was trying to break in screeched as it pecked away. "Warning: Safety Barriers Failing." the Warning Announcer said. Pyrrha was still staring at Penny's remains in shock.

"PYRRHA!!" Jaune screamed. "Pyrrha, that thing's going to break in! You've gotta move!" Abinus looked up at the Nevermore as the force field flashed and it dove back in.

Wasting no time, Jaune jumped from the stands and down into the arena. "Jaune!" Nora called after him. "Pyrrha, please snap out of it!" Jaune called to his teammate.

The Nevermore broke through the barrier, the force of it landing knocking back Jaune, Pyrrha and the pieces of Penny. Ruby rushed past Abinus in a blur of twirling roses.

She grabbed one of Penny's swords, stabbing it into the Nevermore before jumping back down in front of Pyrrha. "Ruby?" Pyrrha asked. Abinus started to run forward, his hand on his sword hilt.

Ruby pointed Penny's sword at the Nevermore and screamed, "Leave her alone!" The Nevermore rose up and circled the arena before lunging back down.

Ruby held Penny's sword defensively. The Nevermore suddenly got pinned down by a barrage of rocket lockers, screeching in pain before going unconscious.

The lockers opened up, revealing the weapons of various students. Everyone went and got their weapons, Nate resting one of his crossbows on his shoulder.

Abinus stopped next to Ruby, drawing his sword. The students on top of the Nevermore were suddenly shaken as it began to rise again. Ren leaped up into the air and used the blades of his weapons to slash at the Nevermore's eye.

Arslan used her rope dart to swing down and grab Yatsuhashi from the ground, carrying him up. Sage jumped up with them and Nora ran up to the Nevermore's head and smacked it with her hammer.

Arlsan let go of Yatsuhashi when she reached peak height, him and Sage slashing down and making the Nevermore fade away. Ruby and Abinus looked over at Pyrrha.

"Ruby, I..." Pyrrha said. She paused as she looked down at Penny's cloth that was in her hand. "I'm so sorry." "Me too." Ruby said. "But it wasn't your fault."

"She's right." Jaune said, walking up with Pyrrha's spear and shield. "Whoever was on that microphone... they're the ones that did this. And we have to make sure they don't take anyone else."

Pyrrha got up from the ground and took her weapons back from Jaune. They looked over at Ruby and Abinus, who both smiled. The moment was cut short as more Grimm came in.

"Griffons." Ren said. "Anybody got a plan of attack?" Neptune asked. "Abinus, I need your Scroll." Ruby said. Abinus handed her his Scroll and she summoned her locker, it opening to reveal Crescent Rose.

Ruby was stopped when a Griffon landed on her locker and roared at her before being scared away by the sound of a gunshot. Port was standing with Oobleck, both of the them with their weapons.

"Students! I think it would be best for you to leave." Port said. "But we did a-" Ruby got cut off. "Miss Rose! This day will surely go down in Remnant's history. I'd prefer it if my students could live to tell about it." Oobleck said.

Ruby nodded at the doctor before going and grabbing Crescent Rose, twirling it to its scythe form. "Let's go!" she said. Everyone ran for the exit. They all went out to the airships, but stopped in front of Ironwood.

"What's going on!?" Ruby asked. "Grimm are crawling all over the city. The White Fang's invaded Beacon, and to make matter worse, some... vagabond has seized one of my ships. Until we regain command, the skies are out of our control. So I'm going to take it back." Ironwood said.

He turned for his ship, but stopped when asked a question. "What should we do?" Jaune asked. "You have two choices." Ironwood said, turning to the student's.

"Defend your Kingdom and your school... or save yourselves. No one will fault you if you leave." He got on the ship in front of him. "Let's move out!" he said.

"I mean... come on!" Sun said. "We can catch a ship to Beacon!" Nate said. The group all got on an airship and the piolet started taking them to Beacon.

The students watched as Ironwood's ship started to drop from the sky. Ruby started to run for the bay doors. "Wait, Ruby!" Abinus called, running after her.

She was faster than him and got out the bay doors, them shutting on him before he could say anything more. Nate came up to his leader. "She's Ruby. She can hold her own." he said.

"I know, just... I don't want to risk it." Abinus said. The ship landed at Beacon and everyone ushered out. Abinus and Nate went around the courtyard, taking out Grimm along the way.

They heard a clicking sound from behind them and turned to see a large Death Stalker. They backed up a bit, readying their weapons. "That thing's big." Nate said.

"And? We've taken down bigger things than that." Abinus said. "What do you say to getting rid of this thing?" Nate smiled. "Took the words out of my mouth." he said. The two boys rushed forward, armed and ready.
