The group followed the Grimm carrying Oscar into a rocky chasm just outside of Mantle. "It's going to lose us in these mountains! We can't keep up!" Jaune said.

"I don't know how much longer these bikes can stand the cold." Ren said. "I'm really wishing one of us could fly right now." Yang said. "That's feeling's mutual." Abinus added.

"Wait, hold on!" Jaune said. He deployed his shield on his arm. "Ren, we're going to get you up there." he said. Ren stood up on the bike as Jaune lifted up his shield.

Ren leaped over to Abinus, using his bike to kick off and land on Jaune's shield. Jaune used the Gravity Dust in his shield to launch Ren forwards toward the Grimm.

As he flew, he launched one of his weapons blade cables, wrapping it around the Grimm's leg. "Nice!" Yang said. She high-fived Jaune, making him almost lose control of his bike for a moment.

The Grimm above started to fly more wildly, slamming Ren into cliffs. "Okay, not as nice." Yang said over comms. "He's slowing him down. Hold on, Ren!" Jaune shouted.

"I don't have much of a choice!" Ren shouted back. He shot his other blade cable to grab a boulder, but the Grimm flew higher up into the sky, knocking it loose and making it zip past Yang, Jaune and Abinus.

The Grimm kept slamming Ren into pillars and the cliffs around and Yang found a way to get to higher ground. Abinus sighed. "I'm starting to think this plan wasn't so great after all." he muttered.

Yang started shooting at the Grimm's head, and it lowered Oscar into its claws, starting to fly faster. It let out a loud roar, and the earth started to tremble before a horde of Centinels came out from the cliffs, ground and archways.

"Did it just call for backup?" Yang asked. Abinus started to swerve around the Grimm, not caring to kill them. Oscar was his main focus. A Centinel spit acid onto one of Jaune's engines, making him have to jump up and join Yang.

Abinus sped alongside them from the ground, and they jumped down, landing with the help of a shot from Yang's gauntlet. Before she could regain control of the bike, it slammed into a rock.

Yang and Abinus drove around Grimm on their way out of the chasm. Yang and Jaune sighed in relief when they were past it, but Abinus stopped his bike as soon as he could.

Yang stopped too late and sent herself and Jaune over the cliff, screaming. Ren shook the cable off of the Grimm and hooked onto Jaune's sword, which he'd stuck into the cliff in desperation, and Jaune's leg.

Ren used his Semblance to mask their emotions from any Grimm, even getting Abinus in the process. All the Grimm left, and the group could only watch as the Grimm took Oscar off to the giant whale Grimm.

Abinus help everyone get back up the cliff and Jaune started to try to get a signal to get an SOS out. Yang started to pick up the pieces of the broken bike and Abinus started search for a signal himself.

For a moment, he could have sworn he saw an incoming call, but he couldn't tell who it was from. "If repeat, if anybody can hear me..." Jaune said as he tried to get a signal.

He looked over at the crashed hoverbike. He sighed. "We need transport back to Mantle." Abinus put away his Scroll and started to help Yang with getting the wrecked hoverbike okay to wheel around.

After a bit, the group set out through the tundra to an outpost that Ren said he'd spotted up in the air. Yang was keeping an eye on everyone's Aura levels while Jaune and Abinus pushed the bikes along.

Yang's, Ren's and Abinus' Auras dropped down into the red while Jaune's stayed up in the Yellow. "We need to get out of this weather before the cold drops our Auras completely." Yang said.
