"Buhay pa ba siya?"

"Nakita mo namang humihinga pa."

"Bakit hindi pa siya nagigising?"

"Malamang! Tulog pa."

I woke up because of the noise of two people talking. My eyes remained closed because I was too lazy to wake up. Iʼm still weak so I want to sleep again.

"Anong gagawin mo, Siah?"

"Shhh... 'wag kang maingay."

I couldnʼt sleep because of the chatter I heard so I opened my eyes. Bumungad agad ang mukha ni Josiah na unti-unting lumalapit sa akin. Nakapikit ang kaniyang mga mata habang humahaba ang nguso, as if he wanted to kiss me.

Before his lips touched mine, my fist quickly landed on his mouth.

For the third time, he saved my life again. I donʼt know how to thank him.

By the way, bakit sila nandito? After what I did to Braxton theyʼre here now and watching over me when I wasnʼt awake.

"Mommy? What happen to your face?" Evan asked who suddenly appeared in front of me. His head was tilted while observing me.

"Your skin is red." He poked my cheek. "Are you blushing? Or did you eat spicy food?"

Kumunot ang noo ko. I looked at them curiously but no one seemed to have any intention of explaining what was on my face!

"Look at your face in the mirror," nakangising sambit ni Josiah while pointing to the mirror on the side table.

Gumapang ang kaba sa aking dibdib. Nanginginig ang mga kamay kong dinampot ang salamin na hugis bilog. Parang ganito 'yong napanood kong palabas sa TV na nag-iba ang anyo ng bida at bigla na lang ito sisigaw nang malakas kapag nakita niya ang hitsura sa salamin.
