                                         Hredhaan

Exigent.

That’s how the current situation is.

My father is stepping down from everything with an intensity as if it’s a life-death situation for him.

That makes me even more determined to find out the reason.

He isn’t as sacrificial as he looks right now.

He is obsessed with power and legacy.

He would have continued to enjoy the power until he lives and then passed on to his legacy which is me.

He prioritized his power and legacy over everything and everyone including his own family then what made him step down so privately that just included the important members from the office.

This would even make in the news two days later.

Very unlikely of him.

Actually the behavior of everyone around me is very unlikely of themselves recently specially Miss. Aaradhya Malhotra.

I will see her today.

She approached me herself and asked me to meet her.

This feels huge.

“Congratulations Mr. Singhania” I turn back to look at the person this voice belonged to and get amused to see Mr. Blaine.

“Thank you” I say.

“I always knew you had it in you to handle everything by yourself” he praises me further.

I smile and excuse myself after exchanging few formal words with him.

It feels heavy inside sitting on the position of chairman yet it feels nice.

I craved for power the moment I realized people in power can dominate and bend things their way.

This feels so right and satisfying except for the way I got it seems suspicious.

I will find out soon.

A buzzing notification from my phone gets my attention.

Aaradhya: Moon's delight café 4pm.

                                                                       You: Done<3'

I wind up my work before 3:30 pm as it was just an intimate party strictly with only main board members and investors present.

I like the thought of helpless and broken her just as much as I like the thought of me being in power.

I reach the café at four and wait for her to arrive.

She arrives half an hour later.

“I am so sorry to keep you waiting actually something came up and”- she speaks as fast as she can.

“It’s okay I understand” I cut off her blabbering.

I hate waiting for people.

But I need to make her believe that I am a very calm and patient man.

So I pretend.

She releases her breathe she was holding on from the moment she arrived.

“Sit down aaradhya” I say checking here out.

She is wearing a plain purple crop top and black denim shorts and she looks s- just fine.

Sure.
