Valentina's POV.

We ate the pizza in silence, neither of us daring to mention what almost happened between us minutes before. Am I ready to go back to her?

All this time I've spent with her has made me remember all the beautiful moments we've had and how nice it would be to be with her again. I definitely still love her as much as the first day.

After we had dinner, I asked her to stay at my house and she agreed, she slept in the guest room, the next morning I made sure to wake up before her to make her breakfast myself.

So I'm in the kitchen finishing up breakfast, I'm making toast with smashed avocado on top and scrambled eggs well done. I hope she likes it, I know it's my favorite breakfast but I'm not sure what she wants for breakfast so I went for the safest option.

I was putting the breakfast on the table when I heard her come into the dining room, she was looking at me with a smile.

"Good morning, how did you sleep?" I said walking up to her and leaving a kiss on her cheek.
"Good morning, I slept well, what about you?" She said blushing.
"I slept well" I said giving her a smile.
"It smells delicious" she says.
"Come on, I made you breakfast, I didn't know what your favorite breakfast is so I went for the safest option" I confessed to her with a giggle.
"Thank you, my favorite breakfast is toast with anchovies".
"What? Are you serious?" I said incredulously
"Yes" she laughed.
"You've got to be kidding me" I said laughing as I took one of the toasts and popped it into my mouth.
"I'm not, you should try it, it doesn't look as yummy as it tastes" she says laughing.
"No, there's no way I'm eating that" I said shaking my head.
"You should just taste it" she says taking a bite of her toast.
"There is no way in hell that goes in my mouth, but I could cook it for you every morning baby" I said with a chuckle until I realized the nickname I had given her.

My smile disappeared and my cheeks flushed, she looked at me and gave me a smile.

"Sorry, it just came out without me having thought about it" I said without looking her in the eyes.
"Hey look at me" she says making me look at her "it's okay, it's cute" she says taking my hand.
"What time are we going to see Otto?" I ask her changing the subject.
"What time do you want to go?"
"Can we go after breakfast? We can get ready quickly and go" I said excited to see the little boy.
"Okay, I'll tell Ash."
"Great!" I said excited.

We finished breakfast and we both ran to our different rooms to get ready, I let Lizzie wear my clothes, she looks so cute in them, I love seeing her wearing my clothes.

We went out to my driveway and walked to my car.

"Do you want me to drive?" She asked me.
"Nope, it's okay, I want to drive."
"Okayy, it's good to see you smiling again" she says getting into the car and I did the same.

I started the car and a big smile appeared on my lips.

"You love to drive huh?" Lizzie says with a giggle.
"I do, and it's the first time in a long time I've done it again, so I'm excited" I said smiling.
"I'm happy for you" she says taking my hand making thousands of butterflies fly in my stomach.

I drive out of my driveway towards the road, my hand now intertwined with Lizzie's hand in her lap. My heart is beating fast and a wave of happiness I haven't felt in a long time was washing over me.

We both had a smile on our lips, she was caressing my knuckles with her thumb, the music was playing softly in the car.

"You look cool driving, you know that?" She asks.
"I always look cool" I said laughing, she laughed and rolled her eyes.
"Are you excited to see Otto?" She asked a little worried.
"I am" I let her know.
"Are you sure? Do you feel ready?"
"I'm a little nervous, but I feel like I'm ready" I said giving her hand a light squeeze.
"Okay, but if you feel like you want to go home just tell me and we'll do that."
"Okay, I'll let you know" I said.
