As we strolled back to my house, it started raining again.
"Shoot-" I exclaimed. I noticed the rain before Soobin and quickly pulled him against me underneath the shade of a maple tree.
"It really rains a lot here huh?" Soobin said.
"Y-yeah.." I blushed. We were so close I could feel his breath on my face. He looked at me and flushed.
"Ah. Sorry..."
"It's fine," I said while looking up at the sky. "It doesn't look like the rain will let up anytime soon...should we wing it and run back?" I asked, pondering whether we could make it back to my house before getting soaked. Soobin frowned.
"What!? No! You'll get sick!"
"Well, what else are we going to do?!" I pulled out my phone. "I'll check the weather app.." I scrolled through my phone pages until I found the app. I bit my lip anxiously as the app loaded in and let out a sigh of relief. "It says the rain should start stopping in around 10 minutes," I grinned.
"Great!" Soobin said, then frowning as he realized something. "Hey! You're getting wet!" He pulled me around to the other side of him, so instead, I was closer to the tree trunk and he was closer to the outside of the tree.
"Oops..." I grinned sheepishly at him while he just frowned. "Anyway, what about you?! You'll get wet too, won't you?" Soobin just shrugged.
"But spirits don't get sick dummy~" He said while snickering a little. "You noticed you were getting wet, but you didn't say anything because you didn't want me to get sick right?" He smirked at me. I just rolled my eyes, flushing of embarrassment.
"Oh shut up," I said. Soobin's laugh increased.
"I'm right aren't I?" His eyes sparkled as he teased me.
"Fuck you.." I spoke while turning my head to the side to avoid his gaze.
"You know you want to~" Soobin said in a teasing voice.
"WHAT-!?" My head whipped around to face him. My cheeks burnt. Soobin just laughed harder.
"I'm joking!!" I hit him on the shoulder. He laughed even harder. "You...should...have...seen...your...face!" He said between breaths from laughing so hard. I just shook my head at him. I started walking away. "Hey! Where are you going!" Soobin yelled from behind me.
"My house! Where else!" I yelled back. "The rain's clearing up already! Catch up loser!" I started running towards my house.
"Hey no fair! You got a head start!" Soobin exclaimed as he started running after me. I giggled.
"PAYBACK!" I shouted to him.
I won the race, obviously. Soobin was actually close behind even though I had such a great head start.
"Yay, we're here." Soobin said with absolutely no excitement. "I would have won you know-"
"Do you ever shut up?" I asked while rolling my eyes "Let's just go inside," I opened the door for us and we walked inside.
