That weekend, I spent it mourning. I painstakingly crafted a tombstone and a grave covering for my cat. The lady somehow contacted my parents and gave us compensation money and a cake. I didn't really care for it at all. I didn't really care for anything at all at the time. I just wanted my cat back. As I lay on the ground next to her grave with my eyes closed, the warmth of the sun vanished. I blinked my eyes open. My friends hovered over me with worried looks on their faces. Kayla and Dami grabbed me in a hug.
"Are you ok?!" Dami exclaimed. Amelia knelt down to crouch next to me while Soobin re-arranged the flowers on the grave and added more to it.
"We were so worried about you! You weren't online at all!" Amelia said.
"H-how did you guys find out?" I asked shakily.
"Soobin emailed us," Kayla told me. I looked over towards him and the thought of him telling me that he loved me flashed through my mind. I averted my eyes and focused back on Kayla as she sat back up, breaking the hug.
"I'm so sorry for your loss..." Amelia said, hugging me. My hands, trembling, found her back and tears slowly poured down my cheeks. Dami and Kayla hugged me again and Soobin crawled over and gingerly put his head on my shoulder and patted my back comfortingly.
"T-thanks for being here guys...-I love you all so much-.." I say, sniffling.
"Don't worry," Dami said. "We'll always be here for you."
(A/N: this and the prev chapter were written in honor of my cat that passed away a couple of months ago, I hope you like it)
