I slid my headphones in and paced through the area Soobin and I were in when he took me to the forest. I looked up at the sky and the songs immersed me. I bumped into a boy.

"Oh! I'm so sorry," I said, breaking out of my trance. I gasped. It was the same boy who lived with Soobin. Beomgyu. Recognition flickered through his face and he started to back away. I grabbed his sleeve. "Wait! Please! I need to talk with Soobin, please tell him..."

"Fine." He said, tugging his sleeve away and strutting away into a nestle of vines that certainly wasn't there before. I blinked. The vines were gone. The only thing I could do now was wait. I laid down on a random park bench, closed my eyes and turned on my music again.

I felt a tap on my shoulder. I blinked to see...him. I bolted upright.

"Soobin!" I exclaimed.

"Hey." He said casually. "Can I sit there?" He asked, pointing at the space next to me.

"Sure!" I said, feeling like I seemed too over excited. Soobin sat down. "Why weren't you at school?"

"I was sick."

"Please." I snorted. "Didn't you tell me you didn't get sick a couple days ago?"

"I was avoiding you." He said, his words leaving a heavy blanket of tension upon us.

"I'm sorry- I-I didn't mean it...I just didn't want to make you overexert yourself for me," I muttered.

"I-I know. It just hurt, hearing that from someone I....I love." He mumbled, sighing. My head whipped around to face him.

"Y-you love me?" I said, voice trembling. Soobin opened his mouth as if about to speak but a screech, thud and screaming caught our attention. We immediately got up and ran over to the scene. A smallcat lay, bloody on the ground and a car had stopped right after hitting it. A lady got out of her car and ran towards the cat. I ran over. Approaching, the small cat seemed familiar. Dread seeped in my stomach and my hands trembled as I inched over. I cradled my cat's body in my arms. Tears flowed down my face and I buried my face in her body. Soobin, who was momentarily paralyzed, broke out of it and ran over to me.

"Check the pulse." He said, placing his fingers on my cat. I looked up at him and his face told me everything.

"I-I'm so sorry-" The lady said, approaching me. "I was on my phone, and didn't see, then I heard a thud- and I-I I'm just so sorry..." I ignored her. Soobin rubbed my back as silent tears dripped down my cheeks onto my cat.

"C'mon..." Soobin spoke gently. "Let's get you home okay?" I let him ease me up, still cradling my cat, my mind in shock.
