'Everything that happens in America stays in America,' Taehyung whispered, pressing Jungkook against the wall to force his lips on him.

Taehyung didn't see the point of choking down the food Jungkook had made. Instead, he simply grabbed an apple from a bowl filled with fruit. Back in their shared room, Taehyung's eyes slowly drifted over the furniture and he decided to adjust it a little. He began to move some pieces of furniture. He moved the chest of drawers on which the television stood so that it was barely visible from the sofa. However, it was now much easier to watch TV from the bed. He also changed the position of the partition wall, which was loose, so that the area behind it, where the bed stood, was even more concealed. Over the partition, Taehyung flung several items, including the questionable manga, charging cables and other things that had previously adorned the bedside table. Jungkook, who had been sitting paralyzed on the sofa, watched the whole thing in silence. "Why are you sitting there like that? Get your stuff off the floor," Taehyung ordered as he came out from behind the wall with some clothes in his hand. Without waiting for an answer, he disappeared behind the door leading to the bathroom and soon after, the sound of the shower could be heard.
Jungkook sighed in stress and immediately grabbed his cell phone to call his best friend, Jimin. "Jungkookie, how's your new brother?" Jimin immediately asked Jungkook when he answered the call. Jungkook sighed again and stood up. "It's a disaster. He's in a bad mood and has thrown all my clothes out of the closet onto the floor. At least he left half of the closet for me to squeeze them in," Jungkook explained as he picked up the clothes from the floor. "He also moved my furniture and apparently claimed the TV for himself," he continued. Jimin tried to cheer his best friend up: "Maybe he's just stressed? He's been sitting on a stuffy plane for hours, probably with kids screaming around. Then he landed in a foreign country with a foreign family. And I bet your driving skills didn't exactly improve the situation." Jimin couldn't help but laugh. "I knew you'd find that funny. I really thought I could make friends with him. But he's totally serious and I have the feeling that he can't even laugh!" said the blonde-haired Jungkook indignantly, which only made his best friend laugh even harder. "Just wait a few days, maybe he's not what you think he is and needs time to settle in," said Jimin, having finally freed himself from his laughter. "But he's so unfriendly... but he also looks damn hot. Just my taste," Jungkook gushed, a smile playing around his lips. Jimin laughed heartily. "Jungkook, stop raving about your host brother after you just spoke so poorly of him." Jungkook sighed again and picked up his yaoi manga to look at it more closely. "Jimin, I'm really scared of how he'll react when he finds out I like guys."
Taehyung's voice broke the silence behind Jungkook and an icy shiver ran down his spine. He flinched and turned around in shock when he heard the condescending words, "I already know you're a faggot." "Jimin, I have to go," he stammered in a hurried tone and hung up. He stood motionless for a moment, his wide eyes fixed on his host brother. "Where from?" he asked hesitantly, his heartbeat pounding wildly in his chest. Taehyung stood there, rubbing his wet hair dry with a towel, pointing a finger at the book Jungkook was holding. "I've already discovered your penchant for gay bondage, and it's fucking disgusting," Taehyung explained with a biting undertone. "So don't come near me unless you're plotting your own death."
Jungkook lowered his gaze to the book in his trembling hands and swallowed hard. He had completely forgotten to put it away before his host brother showed up. "Actually, I was hoping you would find out in a different way," Jungkook finally confessed as he scratched his head in embarrassment. He felt embarrassed as he looked over at Taehyung, who was still drying his hair. "Even without your perverted picture book, I would have figured it out. It's hard to miss, after all," Taehyung explained and finally put the towel around his shoulders, holding it in place with his hands as a few drops still fell on his shoulder. "You don't like me very much, do you?", Jungkook dared to ask boldly. Taehyung sighed slightly before answering, "I can't stand what you are, not who you are." Surprisingly, that was a comparatively gentle answer from Taehyung. Then he added more harshly, "I just can't stand guys who wear skin-tight clothes and make up like women."

Jungkook felt hurt by Taehyung's words and sighed heavily. "There are many men who wear make-up! Especially celebrities and even the idols in your country, as far as I know," he had tried to defend himself somehow. "Yes, and those so-called men are just the kind of faggots you are," Taehyung retorted. That seemed to be the end of the conversation for Taehyung. He had disappeared behind the partition, sat down on the bed and pulled out his laptop to spend the next few hours on it. Jungkook stood rooted to the spot for a moment before he finally ruffled his hair and went to the closet. It was also behind the partition wall and he had taken out some clothes before disappearing into the bathroom. Taehyung hadn't let it bother him at all. Jungkook returned from the bathroom with a hint of uncertainty in his expression, stepped hesitantly in front of the bed and spread his arms. "Can you accept me better like this?"Jungkook's voice trembled slightly; he had changed into sweatpants and an oversized T-shirt and had also removed the make-up from his face. In this outfit, he felt alien in his own skin. Taehyung slowly lifted his head and looked skeptically at his new host brother. His answer was curt and blunt: "No." A soft sigh escaped Jungkook's lips and he slowly lowered his arms. His gaze remained fixed on Taehyung and seemed to be thinking. "You don't need to think about it, it wouldn't make sense with you anyway," Taehyung mocked condescendingly. His eyes traveled over Jungkook's body before falling back on the laptop screen. "I really wanted you to feel comfortable here," Jungkook began softly. "I was so happy when I heard you were moving in. I thought we might even become friends. But now I can see that it won't be that easy. Nevertheless, I'll do my best to make it as pleasant as possible for you. I hope you can accept me at least a little bit." His words sounded slightly offended and his fingers began to play nervously at the hem of his top.
Taehyung shook his head again, his face expressionless. "No," he repeated. The disappointment on Jungkook's face was obvious. The tension between the two was palpable. Jungkook could literally feel the distance between them widening and his heart ached at the rejection. "I will never accept that you might use me as your jerk-off template and imagine whatever with my hot body," Taehyung added, emphasizing the word 'hot'."Y-you heard that?" stammered Jungkook sheepishly, his cheeks immediately turning a deep shade of red. "Among other things," Taehyung confessed, turning his gaze back to Jungkook. His eyebrows drew together slightly as he continued in a cool tone, "You seem to have pretty low self-esteem if you're so easily swayed by what I say."Taehyung's words cut through the air like a sharp blade, and Jungkook felt deeply hurt. With a roll of his eyes, Taehyung added, "Just pathetic."
It's new for Jungkook that someone spoke so condescendingly about him and his sexuality. In Los Angeles, it is normal to have a crush on the opposite sex and you are never looked at stupidly or belittled in any way. This disdain therefore hit Jungkook particularly hard. Then Taehyung turns back to his screen. "By the way, I'm hungry," he said in a commanding tone that embarrassed Jungkook again. "You couldn't even choke down your food. Go get a pizza or something." Taehyung added, "But without mushrooms and onions." Jungkook swallowed hard, feeling humiliated and small. "But of course..." he pressed out and reached for his sweater, which he put on before leaving the room.
