Deep talks with sunny

My mama told me that before daddy and her started dating, they had many deep talks. "It's the best way to get to know a person" is what she would say.

I took that to heart.

I never really had deep talks with my ex. Maybe that's why we didn't work out.

Sun-oh has been ranting about his day.

"Oh my gosh I can't with my manager anymore. He's doesn't understand that I have to actually practice to be a regular on the football team. He only cares about the paperwork that I have to do, can you believe that Lana? He's been trying to push it so much and he's saying that he's doing what he can but it's still annoying."

"I get that, I do paperwork so much and it's extremely annoying. Like... I want a break to you know? I really just want to quit my job, I mean I have a lot of money from the cases I do, but I still need a career or no one will respect me." I surprise myself. I'm not one to rant but Sunny brings this side out of. He has this effect on people that makes them want to open up. So I apologize.

"Why apologize? I like hearing your thoughts, I'm happy that you share with me."

"I don't like ranting, daddy said it would scare people away, I took that to heart so I use his advice." I explain, I don't know why.

"Do I annoy you?"

I gasp, "no you don't, where would you even get that."

"Well your dad said that talking too much annoys people, right?" I nod, "and I talk A LOT, so do I annoy you?"

"Of course not! I enjoy your compony Sunny". Thinking about it, he's correct. "See, you don't annoy me, you know I really like you, platonically of course" I know he said platonically but it still didn't fail to give me fluttering butterflies in my stomach. So I smile.

"Thanks Sunny, I guess you're right, maybe daddy was wrong about this" "of course I'm right, who wouldn't want to talk to you." He rolled his eyes. I mirrored.

Sunny faces the opposite side from me and pull out something from a bag that I didn't seen before. Foot a foot ball.

"Shall we play?" He smirks.

"We shall good sir."

And so, we engage in the dance of football, doing fancy tricks, using rocks as goal posts.

I'm taken back to my childhood, back when my my daddy would leave my siblings and I on the playground with a ball to go on a date with mama.

This time, he lets me win.

I really like Sunny.

He's good to me.

Greg is an asshole but he said one thing right, "everyone has a special person."

I took that to heart.

And I think that Sun-oh Byun is my special person.

I just hope that I'm his.

Facts.

Sun-oh thinks that Lana's dad sounds like an asshole.

Sun-oh wanted to say that she could talk all day and he would listen to every word but was too shy.

He actually blushed, that's why he turned away, his bag just happened to be there so it was a good excuse.

They played until 6am.
