Sun-oh Byun?

I didn't sleep last night. I stayed out late with
Sun-oh and only got home at 7am, my meeting was at nine.

I hate being late, my daddy told me, "if someone's late to a meeting with me, I don't care if their my friends, I'm never showing up on time again"

I took that to heart.

Now I always show up at least 20 minutes early. I don't have fears other than disappointing people, oh and bridges too. I'd rather make a person proud or happy.

My eldest brother called me a people pleaser. He's wrong, I hope he is. And even if he's right, I don't care.

I head into my Uber and go to my location. The Official Law Firm of Paris.

I got an email this morning. If my client, Mr. Sung, recommends me to a senior partner at a firm, I will be promoted to junior partner. Of course when I got it, I was still at the park and showed it to Sunny, he was happy.

If that happens, my salary will increase and I will become a millionaire woman by 26.

This is why I'm ready to work my ass off for the deal today.

There's usually a strategy that is used for these type of people. If the player really wants to become a part of the Ross team, he'll agree to any deal as long as there are benefits.

The easiest way is to go for the lowest price possible, with some benefits of course, let them negotiate and think that they are getting a great deal when really, they've been played.

That's my specialty.

It's all of what my daddy taught me.

Don't talk too much.

Don't show emotion.

Don't reveal all your cards.

No, he wasn't a lawyer, but he was pretty good at gambling. He drinking my told me that those are his specialties.

Ann was right, I'm my fathers daughter. So what? He wasn't that bad.

So now I'm approaching the conference room, ready to get the best deal possible. I know that the manager is the mother of the player. She went to law school and business school so she's smart. She has experience too.

But I'm good at what I do.

"Hello Ms. Byun." I immediately see the woman waiting outside of the door. She looks exactly like I imagined.

Ms Byun is a tall thin woman. She has extremely dark locks, no grey hairs in sight. She's wearing an expensive business suit and cat eye sunglasses. She looks strict but still smiles at me.

"You must be Ms. Chevalier, I heard a lot about you." "All good, I hope." I return her expression.

"Let's go in, it's almost time to start." She agrees and we walk inside.

Shock paints my features when I see Sun-oh.

He's not wearing his usual attire. Instead, he's pulling off an all black suit. His usually untamed, badly bleached hair, looks a bit more tamed today. His expression morphed into a smile when he saw me.

Sunny stood up, to my shock he greeted me, "Milaa, hi, I didn't expect you here." He laughs.

I guess we really are soulmates.

I sigh.
