After the sun sets, Ellie wakes up again. "T...Thomas?" she whispers.
"Ellie?" he responds, "How are you feeling?"
"I d...don't f..feel good. M...my h...head hurts."
He looks alarmed, he walks over to her and feels her forehead. "You have a fever." He picks up his phone and texts Julia, "Ellie has a fever."
Julia comes rushing into the room a few minutes later. "Sweetheart, let me take your temperature." Ellie moans and opens her mouth, allowing Julia to stick her thermometer in. It goes off within a few seconds. Julia looks at it and sighs. "High fever," she states, "no visitors, except for you, Thomas."
"I was afraid of that."
"Get a cold compress and put it on her forehead."
"Okay." Julia leaves the room and Thomas gets a cold compress and gently places it on Ellie's forehead.
