"She's awake!"
Where am I? Okay, what's going on. Wait... I don't think this is Hydra... is it? I remember, they were beating me, these guys came and stopped them, and saved me. But- is this a trick? Who knows. But the real question... where am I, and what is an "Avenger?"
I looked at my body and noticed I was no longer wearing the dirty rags I've been wearing for many years. I was wearing a light blue gown or dress, and it was much more comfortable than anything else I've worn before. There was an extremely soft blanket on me. Also some little chords and stuff like that connected to my arms and chest. Wait, what's that thing on my nose? It's blowing air in it. It tickles. I pulled it off and sat up t notice several people come up to me.
"Hey, take it easy." A man said as he put his hand on my back
"What's your name, kid?" The guy who used to wear the metal suit asked
"I... I'm not sure. But who are y'all and where am I?" I asked
"We are the Avengers. You are in our large private jet." He said
"Avengers? Uugh, what doesn't explain anything."
"You've never heard of us? Well first, let me introduce myself. I'm Tony Stark, aka Iron Man. Also, genius, billionaire, playboy, philo-
"We get it, Tony. She doesn't care." The red haired woman interrupted.
"I'm Natasha." She said
"I'm Bruce Banner." The guy who was messing with the medical equipment said
"I'm-"
"You're Capsicle, right?" I interrupted
Everyone bursted out in laughter for some reason, except for Capsicle, who kept a straight face.
"Stop it, guys! Sorry kid, they just like to laugh. I'm Steve Rogers, Captain America." he said
"Oh, okay."
"I'm Thor, god of thunder." The blonde, muscular man said with a deep voice
"I'm Clint Barton." The man with a bow and arrow said with a soft smile
"We are here to help you. Also, when I hijacked their firewall, I found a few bits of information on you. You have powers? What are they? They call you Test 16. Do you know why? Also, do your parents work at Hydra?" Tony Stark asked
"Slow down, Tony!" Steve Rogers said
"Yeah, slow down! I used to have a different name, I can't remember though. Please, my past is... blurry. I also don't think I have parents. And I do have powers, the doctors gave them to me, but I can't say."
"Why can't you say?" Tony asked
"Well... I am not allowed, and also I am also not completely sure this isn't a Hydra test or something." I said
I feel like if I tell them they will turn me to the in to the government or experiment on me.
"I promise we are not Hydra. We are here to help you. Just tell us, trust us." Tony said
"No." I snapped
"If you are not comfortable telling us now, you don't have to. It's ok, kid." Steve said.
That guy seems nice, he is really chill.
"Thanks. Where are we going?" I asked
"Well, first we need to head back to our compound, so I can plug in the flash drive, and maybe find out more information about you so we can find your family, or anything that's important." Tony said
"Ok, so how did you find me?" I asked
"After the attack at one of our databases yesterday, we had some information stolen and so we tracked Hydra's jet so us Avengers could get it back. We we looking for it in the Hydra compound when we heard your screaming, so we followed the sound and found them hurting you. Do you know why they were doing that to you? You are only a child! A little girl! How could they, they are so heartless!" Steve said
"Well, they were about to take me to amputate my limbs and replace them with strong vibranium ones because I apparently failed on my mission and talked back. Also, I kicked that one ugly soldier real good in the face. Only because he just annoys me and always breaks my ribs, but other than that, I am not a child." I said
They were all in shock after hearing their plan to amputate and about how I talk like broken ribs are a casual thing.
"I am so sorry." Steve said
"It's okay." I replied
"No, it's not. Don't worry, we will make sure to get revenge on Hydra for you. We thought we already took down all of their bases, but I guess not. They will all pay." Tony said
"Yeah, we hate Hydra. They are monsters. How long have you been with them?" Natasha asked
"Thanks, but I don't know. I can't really remember my past. Also, are we there yet?" I said
"Almost, kiddo." Clint answered
I just can't believe what has happened to me today. Am I really safe? Will Hydra try to come back for me? What will my life look like away from Hydra? I'm just glad I get to keep my limbs!
