Tony's POV
While the kids were doing whatever upstairs, I decided to get back to work by finding out more about her past.
I digged for about 2 hours, until I got a phone call. From an unidentified number. Before I answered, I scanned my phone and hacked theirs. I found out the caller was one of the HYDRA leaders. I answered with caution as I created a firewall on my phone so they couldn't track me.
"Hey, what do you need? A tooth brush? I'll send you one now." I said
"Don't pretend you don't know why we're calling." The man said
"Excuse me? You're incontinent and need some new diapers and wipes? Okay, they're on their way." I said
"YOU HAVE TEST 16! YOU ALSO HAVE 24 HOURS TO SEND HER BACK TO ME OR WE'RE COMING OURSELVES!" He yelled into the phone
I was shocked. How did he know? How is this possible?
"What is Test 16? Your binkie? Why so hyper?" I asked, pretending not to know
"Stark, Stark, Stark. You know exactly what I'm talking about. The girl. And don't think I don't know where she is. I'm not dumb enough to not insert a tracker in a very wanted girl, who you just want because you'll use her for her powers." He said
Powers? I knew it. I knew she was different.
"Okay buddy, listen up. I am not leaving. Nobody's leaving. Go ahead! Come on over. We'll smash you like ants. I'll blast a hole right through your chest. You enter my property, you die. Understand?" I said
"Stark, you will not win like you think. This time, you will lose. We have... sources. Well, see you soon!" He said as he hung up
Nobody hangs up on me, bud.
He doesn't stand a chance.
But what does he mean by... sources?
Well, I guess we'll find out soon enough.
I better tell the team just for Gracie's safety. I'm not going to let her get taken away from us. I know we did technically kidnap her, but we also saved her life. She can't go back there. She'll die, and she's still just a little kid. Well, teenager. But looks can be deceiving.
I found out they stunt her growth, so she doesn't grow up and get too strong. I'm so close to finishing her serum that may help her get back on track.
But anyways, the most important thing right now is making sure she doesn't leave, and stays safe with us. I am going to do everything to defend her. It probably will be a piece of cake.
1 hour later

In the living room with the OG 6 Avengers
"What do they mean by 'sources'?" Steve asked
"Not sure yet." I responded
"We better be prepared, because this may mean danger. But this won't be anything we can't handle." Thor said
"So should we keep her here in this building? Or do we need to send her away to a safer place?" Bruce asked
"I think she will be safest here with us." Steve said
"That's true." Natasha said
"How did they know she was here anyways?" Natasha asked
"They put a tracker somewhere in her body. I'll have to get her scanned to find out where it is, so we can remove it." I said
"Sounds fun. I bet she'll enjoy that." Clint added
"She won't even feel a thing." I said
"Sooner or later, she is going to confront us about her powers. She can't keep this a secret anymore." Steve said
"I agree, we've given her plenty of time." Bruce added
"We don't want her to think we don't trust her or make her uncomfortable. She'll tell us when she's ready." I told them
"But what if she doesn't. What if she can't control them and she hurts someone or maybe even herself." Steve said
"She's just a kid." I told him
"Yeah, that's true, but when I was a kid, I could kill any threat that stands in my way as fast as I can now." Clint said
"Let's face it. She won't tell us. She's hiding them from us. She's probably scared of what we'll think. How about we wait until HYDRA comes here, and we let her fight with us, with close supervision obviously. She'll probably use them naturally out of self-defense." Natasha said
"You really want to risk putting her in so much danger? She's a child! They'll easily take her right back!" I said
"I said with close supervision. And just for a minute. Can't you make her some sort of like- protective suit? Like yours?" Natasha said
"I think that actually sounds like a great idea. We will make sure she doesn't get a scratch." Steve said
"Same here." Bruce and Clint added
I thought for a minute. How would Gracie take this? What if she refuses and runs away out of fear? I mean, I could make her a really cool suit for self-defense. After all, she does seem like an adventurous person. I'm sure she'd want to help fight anyways. Me agreeing to this depends on her response.
"Okay, fine, but only if she's fine with it. I'll go ask her now." I said
"Good choice, Tony. Where is she, anyways?" Clint asked
"She's upstairs with Peter." I told him
For some reason, Natasha and Steve exchanged a funny look.
"What?" I asked
"Oh nothing, just that you introduced a pretty teenage girl to a single teenage boy, and left them in the same room. That's all." Natasha said
"Yeah, Peter totally won't be getting any ideas..." Clint added
"What?! You really think they would..." I said
"Yep." Clint and Natasha said
