After Peter left, I ate and remembered that the Avengers needed to talk to me about something. I went into the living room where they normally meet, and they all looked a bit tense.
"Hey, Gracie! Looking great! How was Peter?" Natasha asked
"He's fun." I responded
"How sweet. He's a good kid." She said with a smile
"Do you like it here so far?" Steve asked
"Yes. It's really fun. I wish I could go to school with Peter, and Tony said it might be a while, but he'll think about it!" I said
"Oh wow, just don't get your hopes up. There is something we want to talk to you about." Steve told me
I'm actually kinda nervous, all the Avengers look so serious right now.
"Okay, what?" I said
"Hydra contacted Tony, and they know you're here. They want you back, and they are coming here tomorrow." He said
"WHAT? NO! NO! PLEASE! They'll cut off my arms and legs! They'll torture me! Please no!" I yelled
"Hey, hey, hey, kid, it's gonna be okay. We won't let them lay a hand on you. Remember, we are Avengers." Steve assured me
Natasha put an arm around me.
"We will fight until you are safe with us." She said
"I'm gonna blast every one of them Hydra's faces. They don't stand a chance, kid. You'll be okay. I promise." Mr. Stark said
"Lady Gracie, this will be easy. With my hammer, I will defeat them all! You can count on us to keep you safe!" Thor said as he grabbed my hands
"How'd they know I am here?" I asked
"They put a tracker somewhere in your body. I can give you a scan to find it. Actually, FRIDAY? Locate the tracker in Gracie's body." Mr. Stark said
"Yes sir, it appears to be on her wrist." FRIDAY said
"On? Not in? Strange." Mr. Stark said as he took my left wrist and started examining it
"Is it in my bracelet?" I asked, showing Tony the bracelet on my right wrist
"Wait, did Hydra give that to you?" He asked
"Yes. I've worn it my whole life pretty much." I said
It was the only piece of jewelry I owned.
"Then yes. I'm going to have to destroy it." He said
"That's okay, I mean, it's from Hydra." I said
"There is one more thing. You are going to have to tell us about your powers. Now." Steve said
"But-" I said
"No buts! We have given you time. We really need to know for your own good." Mr. Stark said
"It'll be okay, kid. You can trust us." Dr. Banner said
"Yeah, of course you can." Clint said
"Promise not to tell the government?" I asked
"The government?! What?! Of course we won't tell the government! Is that why you have been hiding your powers from us?" Tony said in surprise
"Uhh, yeah." I said
"We will keep our word. Right everyone?" Steve said
All the Avengers agreed
"Okay, I will just show you. But they sometimes make me weak." I said
I looked at the couch that Steve and Thor were sitting on, and really focused. I began lifting it off the ground...
"Woah, Lady Gracie! You are very powerful! How is this possible for a mortal child?" Thor said
"Wh-" Steve said as he was very confused
"Telekinesis." Bruce mumbled in awe
I lifted the couch about 4 feet in the air, and all the Avengers were so amazed, and they were telling me stuff like thanks for showing us, that is so impressive, I'm so strong, until I suddenly felt too weak and everything went black.

In the makeshift hospital room
I suddenly remembered everything that just happened. I looked up and saw the Avengers standing around me.
"Glad to see you awake. Feel better?" Dr. Banner said
"Yeah." I said
"You sure caused us quite the scare, kid." Clint said
"Gracie, does this normally happen when you use your powers?" Tony asked
"Yeah." I said
"Okay, well maybe I can help you out. Give me a dew minutes, and I bet I can think of a way for you to control them without fainting." Mr. Stark said
"Really? Great!" I said
He left the room and I assume he went to his workshop or something.
I was chatting with Natasha, and he burst back into the room.
"I got it! I can surgically insert electromagnetic receptors into your wrist, they will help you withstand your powers and you can use them to your full potential." He said
"That's so awesome! Thanks Mr. Stark!" I said
"Are you sure this is a good idea, Tony?" Steve said
"Yeah, of course. Don't question me." He responded
Mr. Stark left the room to go make whatever he said.
"I'm back! You ready, kid?" He said
" Will it hurt?" I asked
"Bruce and I will make sure it doesn't. I will just use these to put them in-" Mr. Stark said as I cut him off
"Ooooch those look SO sharp! I changed my mind! I don't wanna!" I cried out
"Hey, I promise you won't feel a thing. You'll be sleeping the whole time. When you wake up, it will feel like normal. Right everyone?" Dr. Banner said
"Of course, Lady Gracie! You will feel no such thing!" Thor said
"Riiiight!" Clint said
"You are really strong, I promise you won't feel it." Natasha said
"We promise." Steve said
"Okay, if you say so." I said
Mr. Stark put a mask on my face, and I fell asleep.

The room started to get brighter and less blurry.
"Hey kid, you're all fixed up." Mr. Stark said
"Thaaat's greaat." I said, as I located a tissue box and made it levitate
Publish"Sweet, I'm glad the-" Mr.Stark said as I dropped it on his head
"Okay, yeah, I can work with that." He said
"In an hour, you should be back to normal." Dr. Banner said
"I aAmmM NomMAl!" I told them
"Okay..." He said
"When you recover, we'll talk about the plan. Our plan will defeat Hydra, and defend you." Mr. Stark said
