BRITTANY CONNORS

Brittany Connors, a college student, found herself sitting in her best friend Stephanie's dorm room, feeling less than enthused about the movie choice playing on the TV. Stephanie was in the shower, leaving Brittany alone to voice her disdain for the genre.

"God, Steph, I can't believe you like these movies! They're horrible!" Brittany called out, her voice tinged with frustration and disappointment. She glanced at the screen, her expression one of disgust. "I mean, the terminology is horrible, there's nothing exciting about them. And don't even get me started on how they were based on Sidney Prescott, which was totally messed up, by the way. And now, they've just run out of ideas. The sequels don't even align with the original plot. I just don't get it."

Brittany couldn't fathom her friend's fascination with these films, grappling with the stark contrast in their preferences. As the movie played on, she sighed, resigned to enduring it until Stephanie finished her shower.

"You just have to watch them a couple of times to understand!" Stephanie's voice echoed from the shower, slightly muffled by the running water.

Brittany rolled her eyes, not convinced by her friend's assertion. "You wouldn't catch me dead watching these on my free time, willingly," she retorted dismissively. She couldn't help but express her true feelings about the movies, finding them unentertaining and unappealing. The excessive gore and shock value didn't resonate with her taste.

"Exactly!" Brittany continued, emphasizing her point. "It's like they tried to create this Twilight Zone effect with a movie within a movie, but it just falls flat. And don't even get me started on the unnecessary sequels. The original trilogy was way better, and they should have ended it there."

Brittany's frustration with the franchise was evident as she expressed her views to the empty room. She couldn't comprehend the allure and wondered how Stephanie found any enjoyment in the series. As the movie played on, she resigned herself to enduring it until it was finally over.

As Brittany continued to voice her dissatisfaction with the movie, Stephanie emerged from the shower, a towel wrapped around her wet hair. She raised an eyebrow at her friend's ongoing rant.
