Damian

"Raven? Are you alright?" I ask, knocking on her door.

"Yeah, Damian! I'm fine!" she yells.

"Then what was with your sudden exit?" I retort. Her door opens.

"I'm an empath. The amount of anxiety, depression, and other emotions coming from that room were... very strong," she admits.

"Depression? Anxiety?"

"Yeah, you know, metal illnesses?"

"I know what they are," I scowl. "Why would it be so strong in there?"

"Because we're heroes...? Most heroes have some sort of mental illness. Having so many in one place while I was unprepared..."

"Are you... better now?"

"Are you sure you want to know?" she retorts.

"Yes, I do," I admit.

"I'm fine, Damian. Thank you for wondering," she says.

"Are you hungry?" I ask her.

"No, thank you. I'm just going to meditate for a while. Let me know if anyone needs me," she tells me. I nod.

"So... you and Rae Rae, huh?" Todd asks, wiggling his eyebrows.

"One, her name is Raven, not 'Rae Rae'. And two, what do you mean Raven and I?"

"You obviously like her," he says.

"I do not."

"You can't lie to me, Demon Spawn."

"I'm not lying."

"Lie two. Don't get to three or I tell her," he says.

"You tell her anything and I burn your helmets and jackets."

"Joke's on you, they're fireproof."

"They're not lava proof."

"Fine, fine. Your secret is safe with me."

"There is no secret."

"Yeah, yeah. So you've said." Jason winks at me and I reach for my katana.
