"Come on daddy, we're going to be late!" Venice called impatiently when Vegas was taking too long
"Calm down Venice, we will not be late" Pete smiled at him, happy to see his child being so excited about the kindergarten
"But what if there will not be room for me if we will not be there in time?" Venice asked nervously
Pete squatted down so he could talk to Venice eye to eye
"Venice you don't have to worry about that ok? They know you are suppose to start going there" he assured him
"Promise?" Venice asked quietly
"Promise" Pete nodded and hugged his son
Vegas joined them and smiled when he saw them like that
"Daddy's here Venice" Pete told him and Venice turned around
"So can we go now?" He asked eager to head out finally
"Do you have everything, Venice?" Vegas asked him and Venice grabbed his little backpack and nodded
"Let me take it..." Pete wanted to take it but Venice shook his head and moved a bit further
"I'll take it, I am not a baby anymore daddy. I am going to kindergarten now" Venice told him proudly. Vegas smiled at that and Pete a bit as well, even though he felt tears in his eyes
"Venice go ahead, wait for us at the car ok?" Vegas told him and the child ran off towards the garage
"Pete... come on honey, no tears" he pulled his husband to him
"I know, I know I am sorry... but... he's right you know? He's not a baby anymore... and soon he will not be a child either and then he will not need me anymore and..." Pete tried to hide how emotional Venice's first day in kindergarten made him
"Don't be silly. He will always be a child, our child. And he will always need us, love" Vegas assured him and hugged him
"But he's growing up so fast" Pete muttered in the hug
"I know" Vegas said and hugged Pete tighter
"Now let's go. If we take too long he'll drive to the kindergarten himself. I am pretty sure that Kai and the other guys taught him how to hot-wire a car by now" Vegas said while taking Pete's hand and going to the garage after Venice.
"I am glad he is looking forward going there" Pete smiled while they were walking
"Yes. I hope the reality will live up to his expectations" Vegas said
"I am sure you'll have a great time there. You will tell me and the boys all about it when you'll get back ok?" they heard Kai's voice while they were entering the garage.
"I will" Venice nodded
They saw Kai and Venice waiting for them at the car
"Daddies, finally... come on, let's go already" Venice said when he noticed them
"Morning boss. Sir" Kai looked at Vegas and then at Pete
"Good morning" they replied
"Ready to go?" Kai asked while opening the door for Venice before getting behind the wheel so Vegas and Pete can both be with Venice in the back.
Pete made sure Venice was properly seated in the child seat before he put the seatbelt on him and they finally left the compound.
