"Alright, hand me your test on your way out" my forth hour teacher yelled as the bell rang. I put down my last answer and huffed. I guess Corey would have to take his over the summer. Tomorrow was the last day and i couldn't believe that i wouldn't see Mr. Hanes anymore. I had handed him my work later on this week but haven't seen him doing anything to it or with it. I was getting worried he didn't like it anymore.

I walked out of the class handing my test in and returning the pencil i borrowed. I walked down the hallway to my locker and saw a familiar face. It was Scuff.

He stopped with his gang near my locker as i opened it and hid my face. I carefully ease dropped

"Yea i guess Feldman told someone about me doubling up Lost Boy" he chuckled "He is going to a party this weekend so that is when i'm gonna get him like i did with that one girl" he said and i tensed up. This is my chance, I waited for them to walk off before slamming my locker shut and sprinting to find Feldman

I ran around the school till i found him walking into the bathroom. I sprinted and tackled him. I dragged him into the closest janitors closet

"Help crazy lady!" he yelled as i slammed the closet door shut "Shh! Do you want to die?" i asked him and his face dropped "Good, listen i over-heard Scuff talking about shooting you at a party this weekend" i said and he huffed and made a whiny face "A really hot girl invited me to that" he said and i smirked "Well, you are still going to that hot girls party. This is our chance to have Scuff in jail" i said. He let out a breathe nervously "I'm not gonna die?" he asked and i shook my head. He nodded "Alright, what's the plan"

I pulled the sleeves down on my dark navy blue knitted sweater. It was becoming cold and windy as the night was setting. I decided to go see Corey in the hospital, He wasn't gonna find out about the party this weekend no way. He should be out before then. I hope.

I walked up to the counter and the lady looked at me and smiled. Making me wanna smile back. She blinked her eyes multiple times before talking "Yes dear?" she said sweetly "Uh yea, I'm here to see Corey Haim" i said quietly. She nodded and typed on her computer for a few seconds. She soon pointed down the hallway and i looked where she was pointing "Down the hall to the right. It should be right there" she said. I nodded and smiled walking off.

I slowly walked threw the hallways of sad people and tears. I gulped and continued walking. I made it to his room and peeked my head in. He was looking at the ceiling, his hair was a mess and he was looking better then i last saw him. I smiled and sat down in a seat. He didn't look at me "How is She? How is Drew?" he asked probably thinking it was his mom "I think i'm alright" i giggled. He shot his head up and jumped out of the bed hugging me "Corey you are gonna hurt yourself" i laughed "I don't care! I'm with you i'm happy!" he said and i shook my head "I will lay down with you" i said. He nodded and jumped back up on the bed, i followed

We laid in the hospital bed in a comfortable silence as he drew circles on my arm "Scuff giving you trouble?" he asked and I took a deep breathe "No, he went out of town so no one would know what he did" i said and he nodded "Good, i keep having this bad dream you are visiting me and he comes in and takes you away, but i'm held down by wire and i can only watch him r-" he stopped. I got shivers down my spine from the thought of Scuff raping me "It's okay... I'm right here. And he isn't coming in here" i said looking up at Corey. I kissed his chin and he smiled. He looked down and gave me a peck on the lips

"Time for your medicine Corey" a nurse said. I looked over at the group of nurses who were looking at us like we were the cutest couple alive. I put my head in the crook off his neck while he chuckled "I forgot to give you something" he said struggling to get up. He put his pointer finger up at the nurse and they giggled. He turned on the side of the bed and pulled out a little box. I felt my heart beat quickly

"Corey... I'm only 18" i said and he shook his head laughing "It's not a ring. Open it" he said. I blushed of embarrassment and open the small box. There was a small key in it. I furrowed my eye brows and looked up at him. He was smiling with no teeth and i chuckled. I pulled the key out, a chain following behind it. I smiled at it and looked up at him "This is beautiful" i smiled and he nodded "Saved up my money for it" he said grabbing it. I turned around and he put it around my neck. I smiled and turned back around, hugging him. I pulled back and pecked his lips "Take your meds" i laughed. He pouted and i walked to the door "Wait, when are you getting out?" i asked him quickly "Day after tomorrow" he said and i nodded "Okay. What about the test?" i asked and he shrugged

"I was exempt" he smiled and i nodded "By Corey" i said "Bye Drew, I--" he cut himself off and i furrowed my eyebrows. I turned on my heels awkwardly and made my way out of the hospital.

The hole walk home i was thinking about how Corey stopped himself from saying what i think he was saying. I love you. Do I love him? I shook my head and sat down on the side of the road. I looked up at the sky and sighed. I have been here for two months.. Where has time gone.

I shook my head and stood up and continued walking "I need i beer" i muttered. Not like anyone was listening... I have been feeling so alone lately i don't know... Without Corey around.. I'm kinda scared, he has always been there when i'm scared and alone. I hate to say this but he is practically my other half.. My first friend. And boyfriend... how am i supposed to get along without him.

I opened the door to the station and bought a pack of beers. As i was walking out i saw a girl outside smoking, i sat next to her and opened a beer. She pulled out a flask that had a map of america on it "Take it... I don't have a world anymore" she sighed. I looked at it and then back to her. I grabbed it and filled it with beer "Now you do" i smiled taking a drink out of it "What?" she asked confused "You fill this up with something that helps you, or something you enjoy. And there you go. You have your world" i shrugged handing it to her. She looked at it then back to me "I'm still confused"

"Look, say you like dog food. You fill that up with dog food and if that's what your world revolves around then let it. If you fill it with alcohol, it will ruin the print of the world. Also ruin you. If you fill it with small pieces of paper that have happy words on them. Then the outsides will be fine. Your world will be fine. If you fill it with someone else's stuff, then your world revolves around that and it will ruin the outside and ruin your world. Be careful what you put in a flask. It doesn't have to be alcohol."

i said standing up with my case of beer and walking off
