It came that Oda cruel betrayed
Along with No had early grave
When friend's unknowing reason bid
The life of liege his sword to give. And Katsui once again was called
By ancient code they deem the law
Of all who owned a curving blade
In foreign land and foreign daysTo Oda's son now serve as lord
By giving man his craft and sword
And Oichi deemed him hear not call
He's bid to deign by samurai lawAnd Katsui spoke refuting pleas
By honor man is bound not heed."For price of bride I'm bid to war
For dame I paid with battle chore
Not cheap I'll have my wife perceived
By those I deem my present liegeNor paltry worth the hand I own
For which I swings of sword was loaned
As only bought by meager sum
Of battles man's already done.Instead our love I'll have them deem
As worth yet more than gold that gleams."So man to war on bidding went
On task that pride itself had sent
And met with harm on road he's set
His pride his humbling sure abet. And swift returned to castle held
Where wife and kin did also dwell
His foe in quick pursuit of man
To place he deemed ancestral landsAnd Katsui bid his kin to leave
For sake of actions man did grieve
And Oichi ordered daughter's go
To place she hoped that luck bestowedA future bliss she briefly knew
Perhaps that fate had cruel bestew
To lift her high so fall's more great
And better certain awful fate. And far from train the same perceived
The castle flames did present wreath
And far from rest she swiftly broke
To place her husband halls had smoteUnto the place they held their court
The lady went his plan to thwart
On kneeling throne she found him sat
His face his certain doom begat. And place engulfed in flames now high
Pertained of doom that's drawing nye
And lady sat beside her lord
As done yet many times before...Hey guys I hope you like it. This is the last poem about Oichi and Katsui. I hope that y'all like it!!! Please vote comment and share!!!
