And Kendra screamed the man she loathed
In magic garbs of wizard clothed
Did come at last revenge to claim
On head of one who man defamed
In scheme they made to vessel steal
The end of war in hopes to seal.
But hand he held and cautioned well
To silent keep inside her cell.
"No harm" his voice that's grim then spoke
By ancient magic deeply smote
"Shall man on either one bestow
Of pair beneath my eyes that bode
When guard I held above your heads
A thing I'm sure inspired dread.
Instead your aid I seek to be
If woman sat shall give me lee."
And Kendra spoke in disbelief
At man who caused the pair much grief
And words did voice to make it known
She doubted things the man intoned.
But still he pressed and tried to tell
The girl of thing he deems a spell.
"A dormant curse on pair is laid
From whence I know not time it's made
Or reason wizard tried to grieve
You two that both would be bereaved.
What chance that pair would ever meet
A maid and man of alien fleet
That mage should deem it worthwhile work
To place on heads this strangest curse.
But curse is laid perhaps from birth?
On pair to bring about this work
That should in love you two yet fall
That by that magics very call
Your deaths would swiftly come in youth
At least to one as magic's proof.
A potion long in labor made
For pair I craft to be yet gave
To help reprieve you both from curse
Already making out its work.
But lo before the gift I gave
Your plan to flee was sudden made
But both you two to drink will need
For magic spell to sure succeed.
So here I've come my aid to give
And fast escape this place your bid
To find your love to potion take
To alter both the lover's fate."
And man a magic vial showed
Of greenish mix that bright did glow
As proof of thing he former said
To help allay the Doctor's dread.
But Kendra great suspect now held
And asked why man who long had dwelled
As guard and seemed to angry be
At pair should any help yet cede
Unto them both though both unknown
Why aid should wizard wish to lone...
