Hawkman and Hawkgirl

On alien world his foot he sat
The first of all his kind begat
To visit earth. Though strange he deemed
Familiar all this place did seem...

But man by training bridled thought
And turned his mind to thing he sought
To lay of land then quick survey
And see if path to home be made.

And long he toiled beneath our sky
In search of any mark there lied
That showed a way to homeward go
Back to the place that warrior bode.

But swampy land and marshes made
Were all about that place then laid
That arduous made the chore he's give
No ways the pits and vines to rid.

And warrior dared not take to sky
In fear the foes his form would spy
So earthward bounds the alien prince
Who deemed this way to journey hince.

But lo a shape in foreign sky
That grows before the royal's eyes
And nears the shape of man it owns
Is shiny metal wrought of chrome

That covers form with red on hands
And chest contrasting greenish land.
Beside him joins the glowing green
Of man who owned a magic ring.

On other side a wizard garbed
That covered face with hidden scarves.
And being spoke he's sure to call
For help from other warriors sprawled

Across the night to search him out
And stop their plans by early route.
So up to sky did Katar take
To use his mace to alter fate.

And three before him backward fell
When men the fury Thangar held
Did see, and learn to fear anew
From acts of war their eyes construed.

But soon they many allies owned
That filled the skies that night alone
A woman wearing metal brace
And lasso fought with warrior's grace.

While plane that's shaped as bat harassed
The prince as though it's given task.
And woman dressed in black did scream
To such a pitch his form he deemed

Did shake from shock of power gave
And hurt by voice alone was made.
And blur of red on ground did crash
Into his form in burst and flash.

A woman lit on fire green
With burst of flames on man did deem
Unleash her fury over form
With all her anger gave to scorn.

And one of gold and one of red
With thunder flashing charge then led.
A robot flew beside the first
As second uttered magic curse.

Then finally came then one in blue
With eyes that red with lasers grew
He most of all his form harassed
The only one who strength did match.

The land and air unfit now deemed
Did cause the prince to try the stream
But there by trident man was stung
In crack of steel that loudly rung.
