The morning light painted the room with a delicate glow as Arizona slowly woke. Beside her, Emma stirred, and as their eyes met, a silent acknowledgement passed between them. The echoes of the night lingered, creating an atmosphere charged with unspoken understanding.

"Morning," Emma whispered, her voice a soft caress.

Arizona responded with a playful grin, her eyes dancing with a mischievous glint. "Morning to you too. Did you dream about me?"

Emma chuckled, a mix of amusement and reluctance in her eyes. "Maybe, but we need to talk. I... I have a roommate, and, well, we might need to wrap this up sooner than later."

Arizona, undeterred by the urgency in Emma's tone, continued to tease playfully. "A roommate, huh? Is she the type to be jealous?"

Emma sighed, her patience tested. "Arizona, this is serious. We really need to—"

Interrupting her, Arizona leaned in, her lips dangerously close to Emma's ear. "Serious is overrated. How about we grab a quick shower together? It'll be our little secret."

Emma couldn't help but laugh, caught between the urgency of the situation and Arizona's persistent playfulness. "Arizona, we don't have time for a shower together."

With a theatrical pout, Arizona relented, though the mischievous glint in her eyes remained. "Alright, alright. I suppose I can save the grand shower for another time."

As they prepared to face the day, Arizona continued to inject a playful charm into the moments shared between them. However, Emma, feeling the pressure of time and the need for discretion, subtly hinted at the urgency of the situation.

"Arizona, I appreciate the playfulness, but we really need to wrap this up quickly," Emma said, a mix of firmness and a small smile on her face.

Arizona, still smiling, leaned in for a final flirtatious comment. "Well, if ever there's a need for a shared shower again, you know where to find me. Maybe next time, we can make it even steamier."

Emma couldn't help but shake her head in amusement and blush. "You really know how to keep things interesting, don't you?"

Arizona winked. "It's a skill, Dr. Emma. One I'm more than willing to demonstrate."

As Arizona playfully wrapped up their morning banter, a lingering moment passed between them before she gracefully rose from the bed. A sly grin played on her lips as she winked at Emma, leaving the room with the promise of shared secrets.

Left alone in the aftermath of their night, Emma took a moment to collect herself before getting out of bed. She could still feel the traces of Arizona's presence in the room, a memory of a connection that defied the usual boundaries.

Heading to the bathroom to freshen up, Emma couldn't shake the playful encounters from her mind. The playfulness of the morning banter still echoed in her mind, leaving her with a mixture of anticipation and uncertainty about the day ahead.

Glancing at the time, she realized she was running late. "Shit, I can't be late for my first day."

--

"Meredith. Meredith," Emma hissed from next to her. Her older sister was sprawled out on the floor unclothed, while a man was lying on the wooden floor boards next to her with only a sheet covering his ass. "Meredith," Emma hissed again. She finally began to stir awake, so Emma waved her hand in front of her face, catching her attention when her eyes finally opened, she stated "we're going to be late,'

"Fuck," Meredith grumbled. Emma nodded and ran back upstairs to her room. She packed the things she needed for the day in a rush and ran back downstairs, seeing that Meredith had left, probably to go get ready herself, and the naked man was now dressing himself.

"OH, Hello," he said in surprise. Emma turned around and looked guiltily towards him. She had been hoping to just sneak into the kitchen and grab some coffee without him noticing her. "I'm, umm, Derek. Derek Shepherd," he said, holding a hand for her to shake.

"I'm uhh not going to shake your hand; I have no idea where it's been, but based on what I've seen this morning, I assume it might have been inside my sister at some point," she said. He then dropped his hand and wiped it on his shorts with a blush coating his face. So Emma smirked. "But I'm uh Emma; it's nice to meet you I hope it was under better circumstances though where perhaps you weren't half naked in front of me. But I umm hope you had fun. She smiled at him and then spun back around on her foot to walk back into the kitchen, grabbing the coffee pot and pouring herself some.

"I'm sorry if we were loud," Derek said, putting his shirt on

"Oh I uh didn't hear you as I was busy too haha, so it's fine," Emma said as a blush coated her face, she checked her watch as her fingers impatiently tapped against her mug

"Meredith! Hurry your ass up!" she shouted.

"I'm coming, I'm coming no need to shout," she shouted back

"I'm assuming you're getting some deja vu from last night there Shepard," Emma smirked behind her mug looking at Derek who blushed again.

"You should probably go, she'll be super pissed if you're not gone when she's back, she doesn't usually like people overstaying their welcome," Emma said.

"Yeah, right okay. Good idea." Derek mumbled. He then grabbed his shoes and nodded at her as he opened the door and left.

"Meredith for god sake he's gone let's go we can't be late for our first day, Im going to leave without you otherwise."

"I'm coming!" Meredith shouted back again. Emma snorted and finished her mug of coffee.

"Yeah, I assume that's what you said last night," she said

"Emma get off my back you do not want to talk either." Meredith groaned

"Dam I was hoping you weren't going to notice that"

Meredith appeared in the kitchen grabbing her car keys as Emma put her mug in the sink and grabbed her bag following her older sister out the door.

"Why did we decide to start our first day hungover?" Emma said while rubbing at her head.

"Just come on. I'll drive," Meredith unlocked the car

"Yes, ma'am," Emma sang back to her while sliding into the passenger seat.
