Three interns, four residents, and six nurses on this surgical floor have been diagnosed with... syphilis," Chief Webber stated solemnly, his disappointment evident as he scanned the conference room. Some attendees couldn't help but react with hoots and chuckles.

"There are over 70,000 new cases every year. Undiagnosed, syphilis can lead to blindness, insanity, and death," the Chief's Assistant began, her voice carrying a note of urgency as she addressed the room. George and Olivia share a look.

"If you are having unprotected sex with another member of the staff, get tested. This is not a request. Patricia will now give you a safe demonstration," the Chief continued, his tone firm. Burke looks at Cristina across the room. Chuckles rippled through the room as the assistant stood up, holding a condom and a banana in hand.

"When the time is right and gentlemen, you'll all know when that time is, carefully open the condom packet and roll it onto the banana, open communication is essential to a healthy relationship. In a responsible relationship..." Patricia began her demonstration, her words punctuated by scattered laughter and nervous chuckles.

"Poor George," Meredith whispered sympathetically to Cristina and Emma.

"Poor Georgie indeed," Emma chimed in softly, her voice laced with sympathy as she glanced over at George. "Hope he's okay.".

"Yeah. You know, I think he really likes Typhoid Mary," Cristina replied with a nod, their concern for their colleague evident in their quiet exchange.

"As the banana is finished, gently peel off the condom and dispose of it properly. With every fresh banana, always use a fresh condom," Patricia continued, her demonstration proceeding amidst the room's mixed reactions.

At the front of the room, Bailey could be seen closing her eyes in boredom, her expression a testament to her frustration with the proceedings.

"Doctor Grey!" Derek's voice echoed through the stairwell as Emma made her way down the steps.

Emma turned around, a bright smile lighting up her face as she faced Derek. "Yo, what's up?" she replied casually, her tone playful.

Derek raised an eyebrow at her response. "Do you answer every one of your bosses like that?" he asked, amusement flickering in his eyes.

"Only the ones dating my sister," Emma quipped back with a grin, her playful banter evident in her response.

"Okay... anyway, can you keep a secret?" Derek inquired, his tone more serious now.

Emma's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "Oooh, yes, I love secrets," she replied eagerly, her interest piqued.

"Come with me then," Derek instructed, gesturing for her to follow him as he turned and began ascending the stairs. Emma followed him, her curiosity growing with each step.

They entered a room where Chief Webber stood, his attention focused on some MRI scans displayed on a screen.

"Oooh, tumor!" Emma exclaimed, her eyes lighting up with excitement as she studied the scans.

Derek and Richard exchanged a meaningful look, which Emma didn't miss.

"Want to tell me what the secret is now, Derek?" Emma asked, crossing her arms expectantly as she turned her attention back to him.

"Um, that's my tumour," Richard confessed, his tone serious as he revealed the truth too Emma.

The revelation left Emma momentarily stunned, her playful demeanour fading as she processed the gravity of the situation.Emma's eyes widened in shock as she processed Richard's revelation. "Wait, what?" she exclaimed, her voice tinged with concern as she glanced between Derek and the Chief.
