1910 two sons were born
Then few years later a loss of William Cochran to morn
1914 William died and my Father was torn
1920 felt like the legacy was worn

1930 a coming of age
Marcus was ready to turn the page
Mid 1930's when Daddy and Mommy met
1939 Daddy bought 4025 and things were getting set

And 1940 came, then I was born in the late hours of Fall
Born on the same day as my Father of all
1941 I continued to grow
And to work with Dad I would go and see Mom at The Show

1942 when Taylor left and didn't come home
1944's tragedy scared the only home we'd ever known
The Show was at its best in '46
But 1947 broken bones couldn't be fixed

Things slowed down in '51
But one year after '52 an arson hit was done
I listened to what Daddy and Mommy said, I stayed in one spot
I didn't see any Police men or other children like I was taught

1953 I couldn't call for help
There were no telephones when the fire was felt
I cried for Mommy and Daddy with these fames I see
A little older than three, crying: "Daddy! It's too hot for me!"

Indiana then in 1954
I don't know what to do anymore
1959 a man took me
Should've have seen what he let me see

Louisiana in 1962
I didn't know what to do
When Richard touched me and made me hurt
Mom and Dad said that people shouldn't touch you there or under your shirt

Back in Ohio in 1965
I didn't know if I'd survive
Two new people who Im scared of
Things starting to fade, but I miss my Father's love

Then in 1999
I left the Mahoning County Line
Brought to Philly
Remember that evening was chilly

The year 2000 came
My life was never the same
Ended up in Blandon with a 5th name
And I couldn't remember my brother James
