" Life after a long time was cheerful and exciting for Pearl. However, she didn't realise that this happiness won't last long."

Going to school every day and spending time with Aiden gave her the only serenity she currently had. Having not seen Natasha for a week, she felt lonely and guilty about not spending more time with her. But this was the kind of loneliness she was used to—the kind where someone made her feel so cheerful and special but then left her. She tried to talk to her, but when Natasha made up her mind about something she would stick to it. And it seems like this time Natasha had made up her mind to not talk to Pearl.

One evening

Pearl had just come home and was surprised to see her mum putting dishes on the dining table. The dishes were too many for the four of them. Being curious she asked, "Mum, Are we expecting guests?"

"Oh hi! Yes didn't Aiden tell you?" Replied Mrs Woods, with a lovely smile on her face.

"Tell me what?" Asked pearl

"Aiden and his parents are coming home for dinner, stupid!" Said Ady, playfully hitting Pearl's head

"Ouch! Ady you're soo dead! Come here..." Excalimed Pearl running after him.

Both of them are running around the dining table. Laughing Ady goes behind his mother and hides.

"Stop being a baby Ady... how dare you call me stupid? " Said Pearl still trying to hit Ady

"Oh! Enough you two. Pearl go get freshened up, and Ady stop being so mean to your elder sister!" Said Mrs Woods exasperated.

Stomping her feet loudly, Pearl goes to her room.

At Dinner

"This Steak is amazing Mrs woods! Your hands are magical." Exclaimed Aiden earning a heartwarming smile and a soft giggle from her

"Stop buttering her up Aiden... So Pearl how are you? What are you up to these days?" Said Mrs Quinn

" Fine Aunty. I've been planning...." Replied Pearl

Everyone has dinner, indulged in conversations, laughter and the amazing company of one another.

After dinner, the mothers clean the table while talking.

"You've raised an incredible girl Pia" Says Mrs Quinn

"You've raised an amazing boy yourself Reah" Replies Mrs Wood

"It's weird how time runs so fast, it seems like yesterday we were dropping them in playgroup, and now they're going to be graduating in a year!" Said Mrs Quinn

"Indeed! I just wish our kids always remain the best friends that they are! The bond they have is truly unique... two years of gap and such a friendship! " Said Mrs wood
