Betty's POV
I was so scared to move away from New York, but I needed a fresh start. I was one of America's youngest models and I just couldn't deal with the pressure anymore. My best friend Veronica and I begged our parents to let us stop but they wouldn't listen until we both decided to rebel and go off our diets and start doing things regular teenage girls do
Veronica- "can you believe they finally sent us to live with your dad?! I'm so excited!" Betty- "I know Ve, but aren't you nervous? We're not like these other kids" Veronica- "that's okay Be, we're gonna be the new kids anyway so were gonna stand out especially in a small town"
I held her hand as we rode the train to the small town. I was also a little nervous to see my dad for the first time in a very long time. My parents divorced when I was younger and my mom took me and my dad took my sister Polly so I was excited to see her too, but it had been almost four years since we last saw each other and I was worried about everything
Veronica- "everything is fine Betty, this is a lot better than never eating enough or being forced to wear heels at twelve" I sighed as she laid her head down on my shoulder. Veronica- "this going to be so much better, hell we might even be able to have stable relationships"I laughed as I put my head on hers. Betty- "let's hope so Veronica"
We slept the rest of the way there and was shaken awake by Veronica when we got to town. Veronica- "ready Be?" Betty- "as much as I will ever be"
She took my hand as we left the train and started the search for my dad. We looked around for about ten minutes before we finally found my dad and Polly
Betty- "Polly?! What?" She laughed as I rubbed the baby's arm that she was holding. Betty- "when did you?" Polly- "I'm sorry Betty, I just had to tell you in person" Betty- "well she's gorgeous" I smiled at her before looking over at my dad
Betty- "Hi dad" Hal- "hi Betty" I hugged him super tightly and he hugged me back. It was the best feeling in the world and I didn't want it to end. Polly- "we should probably get home, three of you could use a nap" Betty- "we slept on the train thank you very much" we all laughed before starting heading to the house. I had only been to the house once and it was a very long time ago
Polly- "you excited guys? School starts in a couple weeks" Veronica- "I'm excited, we've literally never been to a real school before" Betty- "yeah I guess, but what if people find out about us?" Veronica- "so what? Then they know we've been gorgeous since we were ten" Betty- "yeah, that's the kind of thing people would make fun of us for Ve"
I rested my elbow on the edge of the window before putting my head down a looking out the window. Riverdale was a small town and I knew that but, it really was small
We got to the house and Polly helped me unload Veronica and I's stuff. Once we got settled, Polly showed us our class schedules and made sure we were ready for the next couple weeks
