The one that got away

I think summer fell,
to its knees to pray,
when you walked out,

of my heart that day;
I saw you walk on,
and you walk on,
my sweet paradise,
that'd gotten away...

The rain never ever stopped,
never, ever came the ray,
after you'd walked on,
and walked on,
my warm abditory,
that'd gotten away...

Winter froze everything,
except my heart, even as I lay,
'Where are you, my heaven?
You'd said you'll stay...'
I whispered as you walked on,

and kept walking on,
My little dark heart,
That'd gotten away...

Now my body is stuck,
in a palace made of clay,
my soul wondering everywhere,

finding a 'home' as you'd say;
If you hadn't walked on,
and walked on,
Forever my one
that'd gotten away...
