Eliza was shaking.

The crowd's eyes were expectantly fixated on her, their looks boring into her very soul.

Her palms were sweaty, she was hyperventilating, and worst of all...

She was frozen.

She couldn't move.

"Liza!"

She turned to the sound of the voice.

Jake was standing next to her, his arm on her shoulder. His deep blue eyes shone with courage and determination. He grinned at me.

"You can do this," he said. "We can do this."

She stared at the boy in front of her.

She remembered the day he'd painted her clothes with a cupcake.

Then, she'd called him Cupcake killer.

But this wasn't then.

Jake had changed.

He'd cut the long hair she'd always teased him for and made it short and neat.

His cheekbones were more defined.

And was it her or... did he look very handsome in that moment.

She smiled at him and faced the crowd.

She was determined to give it her all.
