As I stood before the elderly man, I couldn't help but notice the deep lines etched into his face, a testament to a life well-lived, but also marked with pain and hardships. His eyes were filled with a deep and uncomfortable feeling that seemed to stir something within me. He spoke in a low, hushed voice, almost as if he was afraid of being heard, which made me lean in closer to hear what he had to say. Despite his apparent anger, there was a vulnerability in his demeanor that made me feel a sense of empathy towards him.

"You all know the story of Steve and Alex," he began, his voice quivering slightly. "But you don't know the end of it."

I sat up straighter, curious as to what he meant. What was the end of the story?

"As you see, after they defeated the Wither, they gained God-like abilities," he continued. "That's how they were able to re-populate the world."

I nodded, remembering the stories I had heard of Steve and Alex's incredible powers.

"But this came with a cost," he went on. "They promised the first of our new humans that, in a few years, they would send out a guardian of some sort with the same God-like abilities to protect the lands and biomes."

I felt a shiver run down my spine. What did this have to do with the celebration?

"As you can imagine, we were all eagerly awaiting the arrival of this guardian," the man said, his voice growing more and more ominous. "But then we started to think... why wait for one person to save all the lands when we can just sacrifice them to the Wither, so it can never come back."

I gasped, feeling a sudden sense of dread wash over me. Mark and Mindy, two of the other villagers, grabbed my arms and held me down in my chair so I couldn't move.

"What are you doing?!" I screamed, struggling against their grasp.

The elderly man slowly walked towards me, pulling out a small knife from his pocket. "I'm sorry, child," he said softly. "But it's for the greater good."

"No..No..No! No! Get off of me! Mom, Violet please get them off of me!" I scanned the crowd for them, but I couldn't make out any of their faces against the midnight darkness of the night. This town is the only town that I knew was planning to hurt me right now. I thought this was my home somewhere where I could help others and they could help me.

I could feel the icy metal of the blade, slowly inching closer to my chest. My heart was pounding so hard that it felt like it would burst out of my chest at any moment. I knew that this was the end and it was time to close my eyes for one last time. However, something stirred inside me when I did that. It was a sudden surge of energy that I had never felt before. The next moment, I found myself soaring high up in the sky, flying like a bird. The wind was blowing past my face, and I could feel the rush of adrenaline coursing through my veins. I could also see arrows whizzing past me, but none of them managed to hit me. I was both amazed and frightened at the same time. What was happening?

I am not sure how long I have been flying. It felt like an eternity. My perception of time was completely distorted, and I couldn't tell if it had been minutes or hours. Suddenly, I realized that it was already noon, and the dark night had turned into a bright day while I was in the air.

My body was exhausted, and I could barely keep myself afloat. It was surprising how much energy flying had drained from me. As I looked down at my wings, I noticed something I had never seen before - an ombre effect. The wings started white and gradually blended into a blue-gray color. It was a beautiful sight, but I couldn't enjoy it for long.

I knew I couldn't just let myself crash to the ground without consequences. However, I soon spotted a little house with a shop nearby. Maybe the person who lived there could help me. I gathered the last bit of energy I had and tried to boost myself through the window of the house. I hoped whoever lived there wouldn't mind, and I could get the help I needed.
