I wrote this in one day, so I'm pretty proud of myself 😎

Bruce messed up. He was playing with his kids and they got a little rough for him. Usually he could take it, after all their mother was twice their size, but they had pulled something out of place and now Bruce couldn't move his shoulder. It had been like that for a couple of days, Brandy trying to help him as much as she can but there's only so much she can do, he really needed someone more his size to help. Luckily for him, his brothers were visiting Vacay Island. Upon walking into the restaurant, the brothers noticed Bruce's right arm in a homemade sling. "Bruce, what happened man?" Clay asked, worried. "Oh it's nothing, the kids were just playing a little too rough and I got a little beat up in the process." Bruce replied, waving them off. The bros chatted with Bruce, catching up when JD noticed something. "Hey Bruce?" "Yeah John?" "Did you happen to hear a pop when your kids were playing too rough with you?" "Yeah, actually. Why?" "Because I'm pretty sure they popped your shoulder out of socket." John Dory and Bruce talked. Bruce was a little blindsided, there was no way his kids were strong enough to do that. "Oh really? And what makes you say that?" Bruce said, angrily crossing his good arm across his chest. "Well for starters, the angel your arm is resting at. The fact that your arm looks disconnected from your body and I'm assuming this didn't happen today because none of your customers seem too bothered by the fact that your arm is in a sling which means that it's been like this for at least a day. Want me to pop it back in for you?" John said in a matter of fact tone, taking a step towards Bruce. Bruce took a step back, a little apprehensive to take John's help. "Since when are you a trained medical professional?" Bruce asked, holding his hurt arm away from John Dory. "Since I was popping my own joints back into place. Come on Bruce, let me help you." JD answered, Bruce still a little hesitant but ultimately giving John a nod. JD motioned for Bruce to follow him around the back of the restaurant, Bruce and the other brothers following him. "Why are you gonna do it back here? Wouldn't it be better to do this in Rhonda?" Clay asked as John Dory sat Bruce on a chair, slowly removing his sling. "She doesn't like the noise. I don't know if it's the sound of joints being popped back into place or the muffled scream, she just doesn't like it when I pop my joints back into place, so I don't do it around her." John responds as he pulls a small piece of leather out of the inside of his vest. "What's that for?" Branch asked, wondering how a small piece of leather is going to help John Dory. "You'll see. Open your mouth Bruce." JD says, bringing the piece of leather near Bruce's face. "I'm not putting that disgusting piece of leather in my mouth." Bruce said, holding his head away from the piece of leather. "Suit yourself, just thought you'd like something to bite down on so your kids don't hear you scream out in pain when I do this." John says bluntly, turning to put the leather in his back pocket. Bruce realizes that he doesn't want his kids to know that they caused him pain. "Fine, give me the leather." Bruce grumbles. "Atta boy, I knew you'd pick the right choice Brucie." John Dory says brightly, putting the leather in Burce's mouth once it opens. Bruce bites down on the leather while John places his hands on Bruce's arm and shoulder. "On the count of three. One, two." POP! "Three." JD says, popping Bruce's shoulder back into place. Bruce was grateful that he took the leather as he bites down on the leather hard as he yells through the pain, the other brothers grimacing at the sound of his scream. After the initial pain passes, Bruce takes the leather out of his mouth, noticing his fresh teeth marks and another set of much older ones, deeply worn into the leather. Bruce gives the leather back to John, slowly moving his right shoulder. "Be careful moving it, it'll be awhile before it's completely set in place. Just take it easy for a few days." JD says as he puts the leather back into his vest. "I'm impressed. Where did you learn to do that John?" Clay asked enthusiastically. "Oh y'know, i found this old medicine man who taught me how to do that. It's not that impressive." John Dory said modestly. Bruce moved his shoulder slightly before ushering his brother back inside to enjoy some nachos on the house.
Clay really needed to watch where he was going. He had fallen down a hill, scraping his shin up pretty bad, not to mention the bruises and any other scrapes he got. Clay limped his way back to the village when he passed by Rhonda, who was sleeping peacefully. Clay hesitated, did he really want John Dory's help? Clay decided to get over himself, him and John didn't always see eye to eye but they were working on that. Clay knocks on the door of John's campervan, waiting for him to answer, knowing he was there because the lights were on. JD answers the door, a little shocked to see Clay standing there. "...hey Clay, what's up?" John says as he leans against the door frame. "I...I fell down a hill and I was hoping you'd give me a ride back to the village." Clay says embarrassedly, not meeting John Dory's eyes. JD looks over Clay, seeing the nasty gash on his shin and the other scrapes he has, giving him a soft chuckle. "I'll do you one better, I got a medkit in here that I can use to patch you up. If that's ok, of course." John says, stepping back to allow Clay inside. Clay steps inside, limping slightly. JD gestures to the couch, silently telling Clay to sit down while he got the medkit. John pulled out the sizable medkit out of one of the cabinets, setting it next to Clay's legs before he walked into the bathroom. Clay could hear the sound of the sink as JD washed his hands. John Dory came back into the common room, popping open the medkit and pulling out the rubbing alcohol and a cotton pad. "I know you're grown up and everything but I'm still gonna warn you, this is gonna sting." John said as he poured some rubbing alcohol onto the cotton pad and started cleaning the wound on Clay's skin. Clay grimaced as the alcohol hit his wound, it stung terribly. John Dory continued cleaning Clay's wound in silence until he looked up to see that Clay was crying. "Oh my god Clay, what's wrong? Do you wanna take a break?" JD said, placing his hand on Clay's shoulder gently. "No, it's fine. It's dumb. You're just being really nice to me even when I've been being a dick to you. You're being so gentle and I guess I've missed that. Like I said, it's dumb." Clay responded, avoiding John's eyes. Suddenly Clay felt a pair of arms wrap around him, JD pulling him into a tight hug. "It's not dumb. It's my job as your big brother to be gentle to you when you're hurt. I'm being nice to you to make up for all the times I was mean. I don't want to lose you again." John whispered into Clay's ear. Clay hugged John Dory back, so glad that he came to John for help. JD pulled away and went back to tending to Clay's wounds, wrapping his leg up with gauze. John took out a box of bandaids, opening them up to put a couple on Clay. "Are those dinosaur bandaids?" Clay asked, a smile creeping on his face. "Yes they are, did you want the boring ones?" John Dory joked, acting like he was going to put the dinosaur bandaids back. "No, no, dinosaur band aids are fine. Are you gonna kiss it better too?" Clay smiled as John put one of the bandaids on his elbow. JD didn't say anything, gently kissing Clay's elbow where he put the bandaid. Clay looked away, embarrassed at being treated like a child. After John Dory got done patching Clay up, he grabbed Clay's face making him face him. "Feel better Clay?" John asked teasingly. Clay pulled away, crossing his arms before responding. "Yes." Clay muttered. JD chuckled at his brother's embarrassment before going to the front of the van to start driving. The drive was quiet, John Dory finally stopping outside of Branch's bunker where Clay was staying. John put Rhonda in park before getting up and walking over to Clay. "Are you just gonna stay here or do I have to carry you out?" JD teased, Clay glaring at him. "You'd better not tell anyone about this or I'll kick your butt." Clay said angrily, gently poking his finger into John's chest. "Wouldn't dream of it lil bro. I know you probably don't want people to know you like dino bandaids and having your booboos kissed." John teases again as Clay walks out of the campervan. Just before going down the elevator, Clay locks eyes with JD. He sticks his tongue out at his older brother, John doing the same back at him. Both brothers chuckle to themselves once out of sight of the other.
The boys had planned this camping trip to reconnect with each other and mainly because Branch and John Dory wanted to outdo each other with their survival skills. Problem was they didn't plan for the other three's lack of survival skills. Thus brought them to where they are now, Floyd had fallen down into a ravine with thorn bushes. They got him out just fine, except for the dozens of thorns embedded into his skin and the deep scratch he had gotten on his right arm. They pulled Floyd out of the ravine, walking a short ways away before working on pulling the thorns out of Floyd. JD took the lead, grabbing a pair of tweezers out of his bag along with a small medkit. Branch soon jumped into action as well, helping John pull out the thorns. Floyd yelping a little as the thorns were pulled from his skin. Once they were done removing the thorns, they worked together to put bandaids on the small wounds. Branch pulled out gauze to wrap up the large wound on Floyds arm, meanwhile John Dory started threading a needle to give Floyd stitches. "You're going to give him stitches?" Branch askes as JD gets the ok from Floyd to start. "Yep, you can tell from how heavily it's bleeding that it's pretty deep. If you just wrap it, we'd be changing bandages all day and he might pass out from blood loss. Don't worry, I've done this before, I'm pretty good at this." John Dory said as he threaded the needle through Floyd's skin, Floyd grimacing. Branch watched JD work, his hand steady and precise. "When did you become a doctor John?" Clay jokingly asked as John Dory finished up the stitches, tying off the end before cutting it. "Well I've known how to sew since we were kids, stitches are just very tight, well stitches. I've had a lot of practice on myself, so it's not that hard." John replied as he cleaned up Floyd's arm before taking the gauze from Branch to wrap up the wound. After patching Floyd up, they continued their journey, Clay continuously making the joke of "paging Dr. John Dory" much to John's annoyance. The others found Clay's joke funny and fitting for the situation. "Hey John, can you teach me to do stitches like that?" "Sure Branch, once we get back though. Hopefully I don't have to do that again."
Branch had fallen out a tree and landed on his hand wrong. Now his fingers were bent the wrong way. Why did he come all the way to the other side of the village to test his new trap? Luckily for him, John Dory was parked nearby. Branch could hear Rhonda's purring and other noises as JD washed her. Branch felt bad for intruding but he needed some help. "Hey, um, John Dory?" Branch said, catching John's attention as he held his hand close to his body. "Oh hey Bitty B. what's u-woah what did you do to your hand?" JD said, realizing his brother was hurt and quickly walking over to him to examine his hand. "I....I fell out of a tree." Branch admitted sheepishly. "Well the heck were you doing in a tree, playing jungle boy?" John gently scolded as he looked over the rest of Branch to make sure he wasn't hurt anywhere else. John Dory went inside Rhonda, grabbing his medkit. JD came back out and directed Branch to sit on a nearby rock. "Ok, we're gonna start on your hand first so we can get the worst of it out of the way. So I want you to bite down on this while I set your fingers." John Dory said while giving Branch a small piece of leather to bite down on. "Have you done this before?" Branch asked worriedly. John nodded and gestured towards the leather while he gently took Branch's hand. Branch put the leather in his mouth while JD did a countdown, snapping his fingers the right way before finishing the countdown. Branch bit down onto the leather, yelling through his teeth. Branch panted while John Dory put his fingers into a homemade splint, still biting down onto the leather. Once John was done, he tried to pull the leather from Branch's mouth but it wouldn't budge. "Drop it. Drop it boy. Let it go, Branch." JD teased, Branch opening his mouth to let go of the piece of leather. " That hurt so much. Thank you for helping me." Branch said grumpily. "No problem, that's what brothers are for. Now you'll have to leave that splint on for about two weeks at least, to make sure your fingers heal right. Want a ride back to your bunker?" John Dory said as he packed up his medkit and headed back into Rhonda. "Yes please, can't wait to get back to the bunker and just pass out, you know?" Branch said, smiling as he followed John. "Yep, I know what you mean. Pain has a way of knocking you out." JD said as he sat in the driver's seat, starting up Rhonda and beginning the driver through Pop Village. John dropped Branch off at the bunker, making sure he was settled before heading out, reminding Branch he can call him if he needs him. Branch chuckled, so this is what it was like to have a big brother doting on you.
