"If you are not happy with this marriage, you can tell me. If you are being forced, you can tell me, I will say no to the marriage"
The lines didn't even leave his mouth and I could hear my heart shatter into pieces.
"Why would he say that? Is it just an excuse? Is he not happy?" I thought to myself
"Why would you say that Dhruv?" I said holding onto the last piece of hope in my heart
"Nothing, it's just" he shifted in his seat
"I could see the shock on your face when you saw me, if you want someone else and your parents are forcing you, you can tell me, I will talk to my mom, she will understand" he said in one go
"Dhruv" I said with a small comforting smile
"I was not shocked as in sad shocked, I was suprised, even in my bestest dreams, I couldn't imagine you as my partner" I said looking at my thighs
He held my chin lightly and I jerked back.
I don't know what's happening with me
Since when have I became so sensitive
He pulled his hand back and gave me a small smile
"What if I tell you I have always dreamt about you as well?" He said
And started driving again.
I was thinking about his words for the whole drive back home
I reached home and ran to my room and called Tara.
I had told her about this rishta thing earlier today, and when I came back home mom told me Dhruv's parents have finalized tommorow's date for our engagement.
I couldn't contain all the excitement inside me so I called her
"What are you saying coco?" she shouted as soon as I said Dhruv's name
"Did I hear it right? You are getting engaged to Dhruv Bharadwaj, THE DHRUV BHARADWAJ, tomorrow"
"yes tara" I said removing my accessories
"How are you so calm? I am fucking jumping and dancing here" I could tell from her voice that was true.
"Finally my ship has been successful" She shouted.
And then my phone pinged with a chat
"Hi coco" It was Dhruv's dp
No I never saved his number.
