Jayden, feeling the tension rise, does something out of character - he grabs Aya's hand. It's odd because Aya knows Jayden usually isn't into physical contact. The other guy notices and decides to up the stakes, putting a hand on Aya's shoulder.
"Come on, princess, a chance?" he smirks, clearly enjoying the little love triangle brewing.
While the two guys start bickering, Aya's just done with it. She stares into the distance, tuning out the childlike quarrel.
Then, out of the blue, she suggests, "Maybe you could come with us to the base! Q's always on about the more, the merrier."
Her face lights up with excitement, completely embracing the idea. Jayden, not a fan of the proposal, wants to put a stop to it, but Aya's joy overrules any reservations he might have.
