Chapter 1: The alliance

Pyongyang is the capital city of North Korea.

February 1, 2024

Outside Kim Il-sung Square, there's a man standing alone, waiting for somebody. Two North Korean agents approach him and call him to follow them. The agents escort him to the presidential building. After arriving, they enter the building, and the North Korean agents suggest that he waits in the hallway. They need to contact the Supreme Leader to grant permission for him to talk to the leader.

Five hours later,

The two North Korean agents return, stating that the Supreme Leader has granted permission for the man to talk to the leader. The man follows them to the Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un's office. Inside, Kim Jong-un and his negotiators are ready to discuss with him.

The meeting with the man and the negotiators is quick. The offers presented are highly favored by the negotiators and the Supreme Leader. They immediately accept the offered military support, humanitarian support, production efficiency for farming and industry, and a security pact. The Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un invites him to the celebration of the alliance, and he accepts. He also gifts Kim Jong-un his latest weapon invention, the MK 57, as a token of their alliance.

After the party, it's time for the man to leave the country. He bids them farewell and eventually departs in the private plane.

In the private plane,

?? POV:

"I'm very satisfied with the results; the meeting was successful. Besides, who would refuse my offer that countries desire?" An AI butler approaches.

???: "Sushi, sir?"

??: "Oh, thank you alfred."

Alfred: "You're welcome, sir. Do you need anything?"

??: "Hmm, I'm fine, but thank you."

Alfred: "Just call me if you need anything, sir."

??: "I will."

As Alfred leaves, I pull out my tablet, turn it on, and reveal on the screen the secret alliance section. North Korea is the new ally, along with Iran, Cuba, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Belarus. These countries agreed to the terms of the alliance but must keep it a secret to prevent our existence from becoming known globally. They gladly accepted my offer and granted permission to establish an underground base in their country.

??: "The last piece of the alliance is finally complete. After the last base is built, our operation will begin."

I call alfred; he responds immediately, and I order him to call Osborn. He calls him, and I speak to Osborn.

??: "Osborn."

Osborn: "Oh, Williams. It's been a while. How are you?"

Williams: "I'm good. How about you?"

Osborn: "Busy as always and cold, but I'm almost finished with the paperwork. Why did you call me?"

Williams: "The reason I called you is about the alliance with North Korea. They accepted, and I need you-"

Osborn: "I already did it."

Williams: "Wait, what!?"

Osborn: "My men are already making the subterranean railway towards North Korea."

Williams: "You cheeky son of a gun. You knew North Korea would accept the offer."

Osborn: "Of course, besides, what country would refuse that proposal? Their country is literally smacking them with extreme sanctions."

Williams: "Maybe you've got a point."

In the background of the call,

I hear someone barging into Osborn's door and speaking to him.

Osborn: "How many times have I told you to knock first before you enter private!!!"

SE soldier: "I'm sorry, sir, for barging in, but we have an emergency."

Osborn: "What's the emergency!?"

SE soldier: "One of the mining groups found something in the mining sector-a strange-looking figure just appeared out of nowhere, destroying equipment and killing miners."

Osborn: "What!? Call the generals and rally our forces to that area!"

SE soldier: "Sir, yes, sir."

Osborn: "I'm sorry, Will, but I need to go."

Williams: "What!? What happened out there?"

Osborn and the private hear an explosion. Osborn drops the phone, leaving the room and leaving Williams hanging on the line.

Williams: "Hello... Osborn? Osborn!!! Crap."

He goes to his tablet and commands the private plane to change course to Antarctica to check what happened in the base.
