As expected, the weekend flew by a little bit too fast for my liking and it was Monday. The presentation day had arrived saying that I was nervous would be an understatement for a better description. I was a nervous wreck. For the past thirty minutes since the class had begun, I have unconsciously been bouncing my leg up and down resulting in the result hitting the surface of the wooden table more than ten times now.

I am desperately waiting for the professor to call my name so I can get this over with. I am not a fan of public speaking whatsoever hence the reason  from an outsider's perspective  why I must look like I am about to have a nervous breakdown right here in front of everyone in this classroom. I am not alone today in this class like I usually am. Chloe, Tyler, and Nick are here to speculate about the class showing their support I am happily grateful for in more words than I can explain.

Suddenly, I felt Tyler's hand on my leg stopping it from bouncing and hitting the hard surface of the table once again. No one could see what Tyler had done because the table was covering my leg and his hand was on top of it. I don't really care what people think about me or rumors they come up with. However, I couldn't help but feel grateful that the table was shielding us from everyone's eyes because I didn't want rumors to rise concerning Tyler and me. I don't want people to place their noses in my private business.

I am not going to deny that Tyler's actions helped me calm down from my high-rocked nerves. I felt Tyler moving his right index finger starting to draw random shapes on my skin like it was a canvas. I would be an idiot not to admit that I love feeling Tyler's finger moving against my skin. Tyler's plan seemed to work because I felt my nerves being put at ease.

I looked at Tyler over my shoulder, finding out that he was already staring down at me showing a worried expression written in his face. "Thank you, Archer, you always know what makes me feel better." I whispered not wanting to interrupt the presentation of one of my classmates.

"You're welcome Sammy, I will do everything in my power to make you feel better in the times that you need." Tyler whispered back into my ear not stopping his actions on my leg at the same time he was pulling my nerves away from each movement.

"I know you do, that is one of the many things that I like from your amazing personality Archer." I told him, looking away from him, resuming to look at the student who I believe was finishing giving their presentation standing in front of the classroom.

"Now that you have mentioned it, I can come up with a long list of my favorite things that I like about you and your wonderful personality Sammy." Tyler told me, tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear just like he always does.

"I am intrigued to see what you are writing down on that long list for yours. Maybe if you wish hard enough you will get a list including all the things that I like about you and your personality in return." I told him, sending a remark his way, having a smirk on my face.

"You know better than teasing me Miss Rooney but maybe I will dream hard enough until I see that list down on my hands." Tyler replied, sending a teasing remark my way like a boomerang earning a small laugh from me.

"Good job Kyle, you can return to your seat." My professor spoke, putting a stop to Tyler and I's conservation. "The next student on the list is Samantha Rooney."

"My best friend Samantha, you may say that you don't like doing presentations and speaking in front of the public but you didn't let that stop you from doing a wonderful presentation. I am so proud of you." Chloe shared with me her positive thoughts on my presentation, putting her hands around me and hugging me.

Tyler, Chloe, Nick, and I were standing right outside of my classroom. The class had ended five minutes ago, right when I walked out of the classroom being followed by my best friends I felt a huge weight being lifted off my shoulder finally allowing me to breathe and relax.

I wrapped my arms around my best friend's shoulders happily accepting her hug with a huge smile on my lips. "Thank you, Chloe I am proud of myself too. I know that I always get nervous but I don't know why I do get  nervous. Unconsciously I knew that I would do a good job at my presentation like I have done in the past."   A few seconds passed before Chloe and I pulled away from each other's familiar embrace ending our hug.

"Samantha, there is nothing wrong with being nervous, that's a normal response. I do get nervous when it comes to my assignments and taking exams.  What I am trying to say is that you aren't alone and you never will be Samantha." Chloe told me, reassuring me because she knows that I don't like getting nervous. I looked at my best friend silently thanking her for reassuring me using her words. Chloe mouthed the words 'You're welcome Samantha' back to me.

"Good job Samantha, just like my girlfriend said you did an amazing job, congratulations." Nick spoke, causing me to look away from Chloe instead, and began looking at Nick.

"Thank you, Nick you guys are amazing best friends to me. I don't know what my life would be without all three of you on it." I told them, smiling widely while looking at all of them.

"You're welcome Samantha, I am glad that you are one of my best friends." Nick said, looking at me while he smiled, wrapping an arm around his girlfriend's shoulders.

Chloe and Nick started walking through the hallway leaving the classroom behind us. Tyler reached for my hand, which I happily accepted, wrapping my fingers against his fingers. At the same time, the two of us began walking behind Nick and Chloe.

"You know Sammy, I am proud of you, I know you could do it. While you were giving your presentation in front of everyone in the classroom you looked like you belonged there." Tyler told me, looking at me as a smile made it appear on his lips.

"Thank you, Archer, it's a lot coming out from you. I really mean it." I thanked him, looking down at our hands together like they were a missing piece of a puzzle.

"You're super welcome, Princess Rooney," Tyler told me, leaning down towards my right cheek and he kissed me right there on my cheek. Quickly after his action, I felt blood rushing into my cheeks turning my cheeks a maroon color which meant only one thing that I was strongly blushing as a result of his actions.

"Sorry to interrupt your conversation love birds. We go out and celebrate Samantha's success! I don't know about you guys but I am hungry." Chloe shared her idea with us as the four of us walked out of the classroom's building.

"Good thing that we are at lunchtime." I spoke out loud to my best friends, not letting go of Tyler's hand. "Well let's go then, we don't want to waste any time because we all have class after lunch."
