Chapter 3 A new life. Mika's Part

Mika's P.O.V
I was busy brushing my hair,after what happened our guild was reduced to nothing, a lot of people left, and we had to move out of our grand guild to a barn, I became the new waitress since Mira isn't here anymore, I do get help from Kinana though. I lived In a small hut behind the guild, I didn't dare leave this area because back then we would get robbed a lot. We still do but not as much because when I'm here, no one has the guts to come. I was brushing my bangs as I thought about the tragic occurrence from years ago

* 7 years ago *

I had just joined Fairy Tail, Master found me after Sequince vanished, the cove wasn't nearly as beautiful without her and her companions. She was the Queen after all. It was like without her the glimmer of the crystals were just gone.

Flashback

I decided to leave the cove, not before putting an enchantment on it. I wouldn't want people mining these beautiful ores that the earth so graciously gave us.
I wandered out and into the open " Sequince... Where did you go " we lived across a huge forest, so I decided to walk into it " Just like the day I ran away. And I met Scarlet " we never got to see each other actually, I was quite sad, but I know we'll meet again one day.
It was around noon right now and my stomach rumbled " Oh no. I should've grabbed a few supplies " turning back I saw nothing but trees " and I'm lost. Great " I could try using the earth as a map but I still didn't master that ability yet.
Over the years, Sequince began turning blind, she had to use the earth as a way to see, not that she hasn't before. I mean living in a dark cave that only glimmers when the crystals gather light, you need to hone your senses. She started teaching me about it, I understood our lessons but didn't quite have it down yet.
" might as well try now " I sighed and closed my eyes, ignoring everything around me and just focusing on the earth, the vibrations
' I'm doing it!! '
I could feel them!! The vibrations!
Oh Mother Earth thank you.
I started walking straight, the earth helping me so I don't trip
This has been going on for like 10 minutes, until I stopped. The vibrations were the heaviest.
I opened my eyes and I saw...
" A river? Well.. At least I can take a shower.. And hopefully catch fish "

After many hours of trying to catch some fish I just gave up and took a shower and laid down on the ground, it was sunset and I didn't have anywhere else to go

" Man this sucks " I sighed as I looked at the sky " I wish I was back home.. The cove was amazing "

Rustle rustle

" Huh. Who's there!! " I stood up and turned to the direction of the noise " Calm down child " a short old man with a staff came out " S-sir.. What are you doing all the way out here ? " I could ask you the same thing little one " I looked down " My mom left... I was lonely so I decided to travel, I ended up here " I went to my knees and actually started crying, I haven't since I noticed that they were gone " there there, I have a home for you. With food and people who will care for you like a family " I look up at him " R-Really. ? " He nods and puts out his hand.
I smile and take it. And like that my Fairy Tail adventure started

- A few months later -

It was time for the S class trials, and everyone was preparing to leave "  Mika ? " I look up from my book. It was Natsu" Hello Natsu, what's wrong ? " He grinned " Wanna play hide and seek? " my eyes glimmered " YES!! Before you guys leave. I wish I could come with you " he looked at me seriously " If you did, who's gonna watch over Kris? " I giggled " you're right. She's a handful " together we left the guild, it was around sunset " You ready? " As always!~ " I started counting to fifty as he went to hide. You see we play in the city because its more fun that way " 46,47,48,49... Here I come!!" I started walking around, my shoes clicking at each step " where oh where could.Natsu be?.. " I sniffed the air a bit and caught a whiff of his scent " Got you. " I skipped in that direction and noticed he was hiding in the barrels next to a clothing shop " Hmmmm. Dang I guess Natsu did outsmart me. Oh well ~ " I started fake whining and I heard him snickering " AHA! " I kicked the barrel and he fell out " Aw man. I could've sworn I got you " he grinned and stood up " Nope " I winked " And you really got me too " he said stretching " Or maybe you're just turning into an old man ~ " what? I'll show you old! " he tackled me and then started tickling me " Omg HAHAHAHAHAHA NO NO NO!! AHAHAHAHAHA STOOOOP " Surrender! " N-Never ahahahahahaha " he kept tickling me till I couldn't handle it anymore " O-Okay Ahahaha OKAY I YIELD " He stopped " Still got it " I stood up and wiped my clothes as I was catching my breathe " cheater " pumpkin eater " he replied " haha. Very funny " I looked at my reflection and looked inside the store, only to see this beautiful white sundress " See something ya like? " Natsu asked standing next to me " that white dress over there. But its way too big for me " pshhh. Nah, I bet it fits " No way, I'm still a kid. Maybe if I was older it would have though. " I yawn cutely " someone's ready for bed " Am not ! " are too!! " am not ! " Are too! " Am not !! " I push him playfully and he chuckled " tell ya what. I'll take you home, and if you go to sleep you'll get a present before I leave " a present?? DEAL " I jumped on his back and he carried me to the fairy tail apartments and all the way to my room
" There. I'll leave the present on your table. " I nodded but before he could go " Thank you for being my best friend Natsu " He ruffled my hair " Anytime Mimi "  I let go and he closed the door " be safe everyone "

The next day I woke up, and he kept his promise. There was a box on my table. I opened it and inside was the dress I said I liked. I stored it so when the time came, I could wear it.

One day however..

" what do you mean... The island is gone... " some members from the council came to us and told us Tenrou was wiped.. Because of acnologia " just like we said. The island is gone. Acnologia with it " Tears started streaming down my face " No... Nononono.. That can't be " I dropped to my knees " EVERYONE !!!! " I started crying harder, and wailing, while the others just silently mourned

Ever since then. I'd train relentlessly, I even opened the hidden stages to my magic, it was painful but worth it. I may have not been able to stop those bandits from Twilight Ogre overthrowing us. But I made enough money to pay their rent.
I wore the dress Natsu bought for me, its actually my size now.
I brushed my hair and put it up in a bun, my bang covering the whole right side of my face
I wore some sandals and walked outside to feed the animals, but what was strange that.. I heard laughter.. In the guild...
"Impossible.. They haven't partied ever since... That. "
I walked inside and what I saw was..

" Everyone..."

Natsu's POV

The guild was celebrating our return " Hey uh Macao? " Yeah? " Where's Mika? " Oh she's probably in her house at the back of the guild " Wait she lives behind the guild? " Yep. After you guys vanished. She trained and become the strongest, she went out on more dangerous missions so we could pay the rent we owed to Twilight Ogre " My eyes darkened "uhu. " Suddenly i heard a soft voice " Everyone... " I look at the back and see a fully developed girl standing there " I can't believe it " her eyes started shedding tears " you're back. You're all back!! " she stepped forward " Uh.. Who are you exactly? " she looked at me and her eyes widened " Did I change that much? That you can't recognize me... Flamethrower? " wait a second.. The only person that calls me that " Mimi? " she nods " in the flesh " Everyone stayed quiet to see what'll happen next " Come here you rascal " I opened my arms and she ran into them " I missed you all so much " her tears were still flowing. But who cares, my best friend was okay. " Aww, you've grown so much Mika " she let go of me and looked at Lucy " Yeah.. You guys haven't aged at all I see " Not even a bit " Erza came up to her " Mika, I've heard of the things you've done for the guild. I must say I am quite impressed " she bowed towards Erza " O-Of course Erzii, anything to have kept everyone safe " I'm proud " Erza grabbed her head and banged it against her chest plate " hehe thank you " After Erza let go, she went to greet everyone else " She sure grew didn't she. It feels like yesterday she just arrived " Yeah. Man. Times have changed " Macao and Wakaba were talking
