a familiar beat occupied her chest when she saw her prince
a flutter of tiny fairies flew all around her stomach.
his brown hair would feel so soft under her fingertips,
his gorgeous brown eyes would light up her world and shine onto her future,
there was a beautiful smile to be seen all the way from across the room,
all she ever wanted was in that being,
in that angelic form.
their lips met,
but not how you think.
there was another girl,
dressed in light pink.
that girl,
took her heart and ripped it out of her chest,
that girl grew horns that he didn't see,
that girl became everything she wanted to be.
she became a puddle,
unwanted,
dark,
selfless,
numb.
